Q. 1 (a) Find the cost of 25kg apples, if the cost of 6kg apples is Rs.360.
Cost of 6kg apples = 360
Cost of 1 kg apple = 360 / 6 = 60
Cost of 25 kg apples = 25 * 60 = 1500
(b) Add the following algebraic expressions:
y2 + 2y + 1, 2y2 + 3, y3 + y
= y2 + 2y + 1+2y2 + 3+y3 + y
= y3+ 3 y2 + 3y + 4
Q. 2 (a) Three sides of a triangle are given by 10, 8, 6. Find the area and perimeter of the triangle.

P=a + b + c
=6 + 8 +10
=24
(b) A ball is dropped from a height of 250 m. If its motion is described by the following quadratic
equation. h(t) = 250 + 20t – t 2. Where h represents the height (meters) of the ball at any time t
(seconds) then find the time taken by the ball to hit the ground.
h(t) = 250 + 20t – t2
250 = 250 + 20t – t2
250 - 250 = 20t – t2
t(20-t) = 0
t = 0 and t = 20
Q. 3 (a) Solve the following system of linear equations by using Cramer’s rule.
2x – y + Z = 5, y + 2z = 0, –3x – y + 2z = – 4

64 points in third quiz. If his marks in quizzes continued to improve at the same rate, what will
