IBM IT and Email On Mobile and Mac
Under the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program, also called IBM Authorized
Personal Devices (IAPD), you can voluntarily use your personally owned
MacBook or mobile device for work.
Note: Windows and Linux Devices aren't eligible for the BYOD program.
Bring Your Own Device – Setup your Mobile with IBM IT and Email
Install MaaS360 on your mobile devices to convert them into palm-sized offices.
MaaS360 is a cloud-based product that allows the management of BYOD and
enterprise-issued devices.
Prerequisites:
• Only devices with Android 10.x and above (encrypted and Android
Enterprise enabled) are Enterprise Recommended and Approved

Get your IBM IT and Email on your mobile device by clicking on the
Mobile Operating System that suits your device best.
Complete the steps in this checklist to convert your mobile device into your
personalised workstation:
2. Browse through the IBM App Store to download frequently used IBM
approved apps
STEP -2
Tap INSTALL to go to the Google Play Store

Select MaaS360 MDM for Android and tap
INSTALL
STEP -4
Type your primary IBM Email address in the
Email Address field.
Enter ibm in Corporate ID field and tap
CONTINUE
STEP -5
Enter your primary IBM Email and your
W3ID password
Select the device ownership as PERSONAL
and tap CONTINUE
STEP -6
If your device asks you to allow MaaS360 to make
and manage phone calls tap ALLOW
STEP -7
On the steps screen tap
CONTINUE

Read the IBM MaaS360 Terms
If you AGREE select the check box and tap
CONTINUE
STEP -9
On the Configure Google
Account screen tap
CONTINUE
STEP -10
Tap ACCEPT to agree to the Terms and
Conditions Then tap ACCEPT again
STEP -11
MaaS360 starts to create the Android
Enterprise Work Profile and configures your
Google account so that you can use your mobile
device at IBM
STEP -12
Accept any prompts during the setup If you do not
have a mobile appropriate device passcode, your
device prompts you to set one up
STEP -13
When MaaS360 is set up, the IBM APP STORE icon is
added to your main screen

STEP -14
In the MaaS360 menu, tap the three dots on the tops right
and select UPDATE DEVICE DATA.
It may take an hour for all the components to be available
STEP -15
Verify that IBM CIO CISCO MOBILE VPN displays under
connections and switch it ON.
Tap OK to accept the connection request and see a key
icon appear on the top left of your mobile screen to
verify your connection is successful.

BluePages on Mobile - Update your mobile number on BluePages
When logging into an IBM website you may be asked to provide a security code for
authentication. Having your mobile number updated on your BluePages profile
will help you get the security code on your phone rather than on your email.
STEP-1:
Locate the BLUEPAGES
App in the IBM App Store
and tap INSTALL
STEP-2:
Login with your Intranet/w3
ID and Password
This guide will assist you to setup your personal Macbook Computer so you have
access to IBM IT and Emails.
*Note: Only Apple Computers with OS Mojave and Catalina can be configured with
IBM IT and Email
Before you begin, have the following items in place for a smooth setup
experience:
1. Internet Access
2. Your IBM Intranet/w3 ID and Password provided to you by your People
Manager.
STEP-1: Click on the link given below to enroll your Macbook with IBM. This might
take a few minutes.
Setup My Macbook
STEP-2:
In the Mac@IBM Enrollment window
enter your REGION, COMPUTER
TYPE, ASSET OWNER and USER
TYPE
Then tap on NEXT
STEP-3:
Select the type of data you plan to
store on your Mac and then tap NEXT
STEP-4: RESTART YOUR MACBOOK
Once your registration is complete restart your Macbook. It will restart and continue
the setup process.
STEP-5:
Enter the INTRANET/W3
PASSWORD you have received from
your People Manager or Onboarding
Success Partner
STEP-6:
Enter a NEW PASSWORD of your
choice twice and click RESET
PASSWORD
Your chosen password must contain a
minimum of fifteen characters in
length and a mix of 2 character types
viz. uppercase, lowercase, numbers,
special characters.
STEP-7:
Tap ENABLE NOW to turn on
FireVault
STEP-8:
Select the APP BUNDLES you want
to install and tap INSTALL
SELECTED
STEP-9:
After the app bundle installation is
complete review the additional setup
options and link on the GET
STARTED WITH YOUR MAC
window.
Then tap CLOSE
Congratulations! Your Macbook is ready to use for your IBM IT and
Email.

Setup your Macbook Manually
STEP-1:
Open SAFARI and go to
setupmymac.ibm.com
STEP-2:
Enter your INTRANET/W3 ID and
PASSWORD received from your
People Manager or your Onboarding
Success Partner
Tap REGISTER then tap ENROLL
STEP-3:
Tap CONTINUE to install the
Mac@IBM Management Profile and
proceed through the installation
prompts
STEP-4:
When the PROFILE is installed close
the profile window
STEP-5:
You have started the process to
configure your Mac. Once the
enrollment is complete RESTART
your Macbook
STEP-6:
After the installation and enrollment
is complete go to the Mac@IBM
APP STORE and download IBM
VERSE, SLACK, BOX@IBM and
WEBEX
