I. RATIONALE
According to statistics, 94% of the surrenderers are considered "low risk". Meaning, their
level of drug addiction is relatively low and may not be accepted in conventional
rehabilitation facilities. They will also be needing different kinds of interventions, thus, the
CBRP was conceptualized.
Through the CBRP, the drug surrenderers will be given a second chance in life. The stigma
that has been associated with them will be removed. By accepting, nurturing, and caring for
them, they will choose to live a drug-free life. Further, CBDRP allows PWUDs who were
assessed to have mild to moderate drug affectation be provided with interventions such as
psychosocial support, recovery skills, psychoeducation, relapse prevention skills, life skills,
family intervention, case management, counseling, education/employment support, among
others.
The completers will undergo a community reintegration program, and will receive livelihood
assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical
Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and Department of Trade and
Industry (DTI). This activity is also a primary requirement under a barangay’s bid for
barangay drug cleared status.
This activity shall be conducted on August 19, 2022 (Friday), 8:00AM until 12:00PM
at the Asturias Sports Complex, Poblacion, Asturias, Cebu.
The activity estimates two hundred (200) participants for the said activity. The target
