Hello,

D people!

FACTS about the VUCAD World:
1. Its an ever-emerging dangerous type of
world;
2. Everything or MOST will be automated,
as we enter the 4.0 Industrial Revolution;

replace you;
FACTS about the VUCAD World:
5. Soft Skills (transversal skills) are the game
changer;
6. If you’re not ready, you will become OBSOLETE
therefore IRRELEVANT;
7. There is hope to stay RELEVANT in the
VUCAD world, and;
8. No one can escape the VUCAD world, all
must face and conquer it.

SDGs in a VUCAD World
To REIMAGINE, is to think,
rethink and think again…
In 2010, we were TOLD to
think outside the box

In 2019, we MUST think

without the box
END Goal: build resiliency
“understanding the unexpected”
The dilemma is…
“too long vs too
fast” “Late adaptor
vs early adaptor”
Reimagining
Education
The major setback in the
Philippine Education
“In an immediate future where technology, most especially Artificial
Intelligence (AI), will dominate businesses and economies, governance
and the military, education and the academe, the careers of our
children and grandchildren will be deeply influenced. I hope we can
prepare them for that environment. We must know where we have
natural and cultural advantages.”

“Our students are not merely trying to learn academic courses,

they have to transition to a world that will not resist exploiting
them for their ignorance or unpreparedness.”

The Greatest Blunder in
Philippine Education
“These so called “21st Century Students”
are being taught by 20th Century Teachers
with 19th Century Education”.

- We, your teachers are engaged in lifelong learning

ensuring that we are giving you relevant education.
We are transitioning to an era
of Lifelong Learning
As per Monkey Survey, all respondents believed that
they should be engaged in LL.
• Focus on what makes us HUMAN
• Create a broad, navigable system
• Support a non-linear, multi-dimensional life
• Support up/reskilling + transitions + renewal

• Create a collaborative ecosystem

• Build stackable and portable credentials

Thank you for travelling

VUCAD
World
Food for Thought
“In a VUCAD world, the youth will either swim or
sink. That’s the reason why we have to emphasize
the learning of soft skills. Whether they like it or
not, that is the world waiting for them and if they
will not have those soft skills, they will not survive.”

“Thus, classrooms should INCUBATE ideas

through intellectual engagements, infusing good
leadership and shaping character and spirituality.”
Food for Thought
“We should really work as one (collaborate) because these
young minds will soon take over all positions we leave. If
they are not properly trained, they will continue
celebrating instant gratification over quality and hard
work.”
“The time needs visionary leadership to confront the
complexity brought by the 4.0 Industry Revolution. As an
educational leader, I would still commit my remaining
years in public service to help our young people appreciate
the simplicity and beauty of life, we did only imagine.
