Workday Integrations: Inbound Integration

The document discusses Workday integrations including inbound and outbound integration. It describes the tools used to build integrations in Workday like EIB, CCW, PICOF/PECI, and DT. It explains how data flows from upstream applications into Workday and then downstream to other applications and the role of integrations in transferring data between systems.

Workday Integrations

There are 2 types of integrations in Workday.

 Inbound Integration
 Outbound Integration

The below tools are used to build the Integrations.

1.EIB
2.CCW
3. PICOF/PECI
4. DT
5. Studio

Upstream Applications  Workday  Downstream Applications.

 Usually there are Upstream Applications that send the data.

 Workday receives that data and send that data to Downstream applications.
 Each application (Upstream/Downstream/Workday) has the data in its own format.
 To transfer the data smoothly, we create a process and that is called Integration.
 This integration transfers the data from one application to another application without any issues.

Inbound Integration:
It is the process of loading the data into Workday from external system.

Outbound Integration:
It is the process of extracting the data from Workday (Extract from reports) and send that data to
external system/ downstream system/applications.

 The Integration tools EIB, CCW, PICOF/PECI and DT are available within Workday. Using the task
code, we can open these tool and use.
