I. Quality Inspection Plan
Quality Inspection Plan (QIP) with project requirements shall be made and inspection
activities shall be recorded on the formats as per approved QIP.
II. Inspection with protocol of (Witness) will be sign by OE/Client and with protocol of
(Reviews and Surveillance) will be sign by EPC.

III. Concrete Materials

For all material approval, inspection activities and record, please refer to QIP for
Foundations & concrete works. All materials should be from approved resources.

IV. Construction Procedure

 Setting out by the surveyor would conduct site survey to mark/stake-out the lines and
levels of the objective excavation for foundations as per indicated in the approved
drawing.
 Existing Bench mark will be shifted to designated site of work. Marking for Ramp will be
done if required.
 For All Excavation activities, safety barriers, sign boards, and advance warning sign
would be used.
 Excavation will be done with Excavator (with bucket and jack hammer) up to required
level as per IFC drawing.
 All surplus Excavated material which will not use in backfilling will be disposed.
 All Excavated Material will be kept minimum of 10 meters from edge of Excavation or
shall be stock piled to the area designated by the Engineer.
 Excavation of WTG and Cable trench will be done with Excavator (with bucket and jack
hammer) up to required level as per IFC drawing.
 Bending of conduit Pipes will be as per IFC drawing and Electrical requirements.
 Cable conduits pipes will be fix in cable trench as per site requirements and IFC drawing.
 Plate load bearing test will be conducted if required at the designed foundation bottom
level after cleaning the loose soil after excavation.
 The diameter of plate will be 300mm.
 The datum bar with three dials gauges.
 Excavator/ Loader or roller will be used as Kent ledge system.

 Hydraulic jack capacity will not be less than 500Kpa.
 Maximum settlement should not be more than 10% of diameter of loading plate.
 Embedded items will be installed as per IFC drawing. Embedded items installed before
lean concrete or shall be designated by Engineer.
 Levels and co-ordinates will be checked with the help of Dumpy level machine and Total
Station whichever is suitable.
 Lean concrete will be placed with required thickness and levelled.
 Three days water curing of the lean concrete will start after final set of the lean concrete
or approved curing compound will be applied.
 Embedded Items/Anchor Cage /Base Ring installation will be done according to
designer's instruction and IFC drawings.
 Layout will be done on lean concrete.
 Rebar will be protected from rust by rebar placed on top of a raised non-metallic platform,
such as wooden planks because the ground and concrete items absorb moisture and can
lead to rusting. Cover the rebar with a thick protective tarp and secure it with cinder
blocks (or something similarly heavy) at the corners and edges.
 Bottom rebar fixing will be done as per IFC drawing.
 Earth strip which will within foundation will be arranged and laid according to IFC
drawings.
 Top reinforcement and other reinforcement will be fixed as per IFC drawings.
 Cable conduit pipe will be arranged according to IFC drawings in during top layer rebar
fixing.
 Other reinforcement will be laid according to IFC drawing.
 During rebar work, formwork will start and will be completed after all rebar work
complete.
 Before formwork fixing releasing, agent will be applied.
 If some minor gapes appear between two steel plates that will be filled by using foams.
 Gaps in shutter must be closed out to minimize the loss of concrete grout.
 Temperature sensors will be fixed in foundation at position as mentioned in drawing.
 Brace the end adequately support all forms so as to maintain the desired position during
and after the placing of concrete and build sufficiently tight to prevent from mortar
leakage.

 Before pouring the concrete, a final survey for Embedded Items/Anchor Cage/Base Ring
(level and alignment) and foundation will be done and approved by Client.
 After written approval of RIT (request for inspection & testing), concrete pouring will be
started from one side with a concrete layer not exceeding than 300 mm properly
compacted (vibrated) and will be completed in one go (monolithic).
 The concrete shall be transported to site in transit mixers immediately after mixing and
shall be placed within 90 minutes of the water being added.
 After placing, compaction shall be done thoroughly around all reinforcement, embedded
fixtures and internal corners and forms with internal vibrators according to the procedure
conforming to project specifications or codes. The personals using vibrators for
compaction should be skilled.
 Concrete shall not be dropped freely from a height of more than 2 meters, In case where
an excessive drop is inevitable the contractor shall provide spouts, down pipes, chutes, or
side part to forms with pockets which will protect concrete from segregation.
 Concrete temperature will be measured and maintained to as low as possible, however
shall not higher than 32 degree as per ACI requirement.
 Concrete placing slump will be as per specified 180±30 mm for pump concrete.
 For all concrete sampling & testing please refer QIP. 2 cubes will be casted from each
25m3 concrete.
 Great care will be taken while pouring of concrete for pedestal so that Anchor cage level
and alignment should not be disturbed.
 Concrete finished surface will be levelled with steel trowel to get surface condition as per
specified.
 After 48 hrs. of concrete placement, stripping of formwork will be done.
 Bitumen compound coating will apply right after removal of formwork.
 If some major damage or defect exists, conduct inspection of the location jointly with
Client and submit the proposed method statement for performance of repairs and get it
approved in written before commencing such repairs.
 Earthling strips around the foundation should be correctly connected and arranged as per
IFC drawings.
V. Curing
 Surface will be properly cleaned with hand brush and repaired before applying of

Bitumen Compound.
 Water Curing will be continuing for 7 days.
 Approved Bitumen basis curing compound will be applied immediately after final set and
make sure the surface in not dry before application.
 Concrete samples will be transferred from site to QA/QC lab within 24 hours.
 Concrete samples will be cured with water and covered with hessian to prevent from dust.
 Concrete cubes will be cured in dedicated water tank of sufficient capacity near QA/QC Lab

V1. Backfilling
Backfilling will be started after 7 days of pouring of the foundation. Backfilling material
will be approved by the Client. Backfilling will be done layer by layer, with each
compacted layer of 150 mm thickness and achieved the designed compaction ratio.
Backfilling can be started after satisfactory cube crushing results are achieved in site lab
and approved by Client/OE.
