NARRATIVE REPORT
HAPPY 2022
Heading to an Active. Productive, Prosperous Year
COVID-19 epidemic has posed significant economic, social, and political concerns
around the world. It has resulted in an educational crisis, in addition to a health crisis. Most
of the world's student population was affected by lockdowns and quarantines. COVID-19's
suddenness, ambiguity, and volatility forced the educational system to react quickly to the
new learning landscape.
This time of crisis, the teaching and learning process takes on a new shape. Schools
must be resilient in the face of disasters and crises (both man-made and natural), discover
innovative ways to continue teaching and learning activities. The migration to modular
learning modality to avoid the risk of face-to-face interaction is one emerging reality as a
result of the global health crisis.
Hence, to support the Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP) in the time
of COVID -19 of the Department of Education (DepEd), the school used the tagline HAPPY
2022, which means Heading to an Active, Productive, Prosperous Year. All activities and
programs were anchored to this mantra.
This school year was an ACTIVE year to all the teachers and to the learners with
different programs and activities. There were activities that were spearheaded by the
Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) such as National Teachers Day, International Students’
Day, Zero Waste Month and Independence Day. All learners were asked to participate in all
activities, and it was done online
Also, there are programs that were organized by the teachers such as the Reading
101, a reading program of the primary teachers, were they moved to one sitio to another to
just teach the learners to read. WE-Talk, Wednesday Enhancement Talk, this program is for
the intermediate learners, to guide them on answering their modules. This was done on
different online platforms such as zoom, google meet and messenger.
PRODUCTIVE, the school was very productive even with the treat of the pandemic.
146 learners out of 180 joined the progressive face to face classes. 50 learners or 32% of
the total population of the school received academic excellence awards. 24 learners
achieved local material + comprehension level in English, 44 learners in Filipino and 18
learners in MTB-MLE. To elevate knowledge and skills, 1 INSET and 12 LAC Sessions were
conducted. 100 % of the teachers attended different digital and face to face trainings
international, national, regional and division wide.
During the Reading 101, 9 pupils improved their level to paragraph while 9 pupils
advanced from letter to word. Also, the teachers made a simpler summative assessment for
their struggling pupils to address the problem of non-submission of summative assessments.
Furthermore, throughout the progressive face to face classes, the learners and the
teachers used QR codes for their attendance monitoring and health declaration forms. This
lessens the use of papers.
With the collaborative efforts of the school, PTA, SPG, Alumni, Barangay Officials,
other stakeholders and private groups and individuals, Php 300, 000.00 were the total
amount of donations in cash and in kind. The said donations were used to supply school
materials, health kits and relief goods to all the learners of the school. Also, it was used for
the purchasing of ICT materials, construction materials for the making of 2 hand wash
facilities and materials for the broken windows, tiles and alike. It was a PROSPEROUS year.
We can say that HAPPY 2022 is a successful mantra of the school, it makes the
teachers, learners, stakeholders and the community happy. It makes them active, productive
and prosperous. Thus, the school will continue to make its clientele happy next school year
and will be using the mantra HAPPY 2022+ Resilient.
