    EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 01


    Series of 2020

    AN ORDER ORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DEVELOPMET COUNCIL (BDC)


    AND PROVIDING FOR ITS COMPOSITION AND FUNCTIONS

    WHEREAS, it is the policy of the state that Development activities shall be undertaken with
    extensive and active participation and support of various government agencies;

    WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 107 of RA 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government
    Code of 1991, mandates the re organization and strengthening of the city and barangay
    development councils to serve as the main development advisory arms of the local chief
    executive in setting the direction of economic and social development and coordinating
    development efforts in their respective territorial jurisdiction.

    NOW THEREFORE, I NEMESIO O. HUAG, Punong Barangay of Gibraltar, Baguio City, by virtue
    of the powers vested in me by law do hereby reorganized the BDC with the following composition
    and functions:

    Composition:
    Chairperson: NEMESIO O. HUAG…… Punong Barangay
    Members:
    Kgd. LAMBERT B. BAL-IYANG……………. Sangguniang Barangay member
    Kgd. JOHN D. DUGUI-ES………………… Sangguniang Barangay member
    Kgd. GABRIEL B. PATONG………………… Sangguniang Barangay member
    Kgd. RICHARD D. DALILIS………………… Sangguniang Barangay member
    Kgd. VICENTA S. ONA……………………… Sangguniang Barangay member
    Kgd. MARK A. LOMAS-E……………………. Sangguniang Barangay member

    Functions:
    1. Mobilize people’s participation in local development efforts;
    2. Prepare barangay development plans based on local requirements;
    3. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of national or local programs and projects; and
    4. Perform such other functions as may be provided by law or competent authority.

    Roles and Responsibilities:


     Ensure that the decision of the council is faithfully carried out and implemented
     Act on matters requiring immediate attention or action by the council
     Formulate policies, plans and programs based on the general principles laid down by the
    council; and
     Act on other matters that may be authorized by the council

    This executive order takes effect immediately
