1. Think and draw any object of your choice that symbolizes your life and explain.

List
the different materials that you use, give a description for each. (20points)

One thing that really comes to mind when I think of how I would like to be described is as
flawed and still learning how to navigate the different aspects of life. Therefore, in order to
represent myself through an illustration, I have chosen to create a Rubik's cube that is still being
placed. I would like to refer to this piece of work as "A Work in Progress". As can be seen from
the drawing, I am still working toward achieving my goals for personal growth, and as my
chosen artwork's title implies, I am still striving to be the best version of myself possible. This is
because as the days go by, I encounter new challenges and obstacles that I must overcome and
from which I continually learn. Additionally, I think that I am still growing as a person and that the
knowledge I currently possess will not be sufficient to carry me through life since I am certain
that there are still things I need to accomplish and encounter.Furthermore, I don't want to rush
through this time in my life because I think I just need to trust the process since I am confident
enough to know that someday I will reach a place of clarity about who I am.

2. Create your own design and apply the different basic techniques of shading. (10points)
3. Draw a still life. Perform any of the basic steps in shading. (20points)
