COLOSTRUM (कोलोस्ट्रम)

डलीवरी के बाद स्तनों में जो पहला दूध आता है , उसे


कोलोस्ट्रम कहते हैं।

● शशु को संपूणर्ण पोषण दे ता है ।


● पी लया होने की संभावना को घटाता है ।

EXCLUSIVE BREASTFEEDING
(0 - 6 months)
'an infant receives only breast milk, no other liquids or solids
are given – not even water.’
WHEN TO FEED :-
In general, you should feed your baby whenever they show signs of hunger, rather
than on a schedule.

However, you should make sure that they feed at least 8 to 12 times in 24 hours.
Signs Your Baby is Hungry:

Licking their lips or sticking out their tongue

Rooting, which is moving their jaw, mouth, or head to look for your breast

Putting their hand in their mouth

Opening their mouth

Sucking on things

can help you lose pregnancy weight faster.
● It releases the hormone oxytocin, which
helps your uterus return to its
pre-pregnancy size and reduce uterine
bleeding after birth.

depression and provides psychological
relief.

● Breastfeeding also lowers the risk of
breast and ovarian cancer.

SIGNS OF A GOOD LATCH:-
● Your baby's chest and stomach rest against your body, so that baby's head is
straight, not turned to the side.
● Your baby's chin touches your breast.
● Your baby's mouth opens wide around your breast, not just the nipple.
● Your baby's lips turn out.
● Your baby's tongue cups under your breast.
● You hear or see swallowing.
Breast Pump
STORAGE OF BREASTMILK:

At room temperature (77°F or colder) for up to 4 hours.


In the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

(Once breast milk is brought to room temperature or warmed,


use it within 2 hours.)
