ENGINE COOLANT FLUID:
• Danger of suffering burns in handling this cap.

• Do not open if the engine's temperature is high.

• The coolant level is the filling nozzle itself.

• If the level is low, refill with coolant at 40% purity.

• Excessive consumption may be due to leaks of the

cooling system, thus causing serious damages in the
engine.

• Do not get connection panels wet.

10
+
CLUTCH:

• The clutch-shift fluid deposit is located on the left-hand

side of the truck's front.

• The clutch fluid is ATF. Only this type of fluid can be

cause a serious breakdown in the circuit.

• Check level. WATCH OUT.

• If filling is required. Always fill with the same type.

11
+
AIR CONDITIONING FILTER
:
• Air coming in the cabin from the outside passes through the
filter, which is located on the truck's front.
• Maintenance:
o Disconnect air conditioning 10 minutes before stopping the
vehicle, connect fans to dry air evaporator.
o To gain access to the filter, release the plastic cover on the
lower side, held in place by three clips.
o For cleaning, just take it off its place by pulling.

Depressor

+
CONTROL
PANEL:
• The hydraulic pump in this tanker is of constant-intake type.

• The Depressor's control has three positions.

o In upper position (ASPIRATION-LOADING) oil passage towards the

depressor's hydro-engine is opened, with the truck parked and
idling at 800 RPM. (Under normal conditions, during loading
operations).

o In central position (STOP)|oil passage is cut.

o In lower position (COMPRESSION-UNLOADING), oil passage is

gauged to make it lower. I this way, the tanker, when carrying out
irrigation and increasing RPM level (normally between 1,100 and
1,400) shall not convey such increase to the hydro-engine. This
would cause engine breakage.

15
Engine brake

Speed memory

+
ENGINE BRAKE
SPEED MEMORY:
• Engine brake. It is activated when the button is pressed on
the control's tip.

• The aim is decreasing engine operation. The higher the rpm

the more efficient.

• Caution not to block the real axle on slippery floors.

• Use only the service brake to stop the truck.

• Never leave the cabin without first making sure the parking
brake has been safely applied.

• Speed memory. (Engine's RPM). Set the engine at 800 rpm

for loading.

16

• All safety systems must be in perfect operating condition and, very
especially the reverse gear beeper, horn, lights and brakes. Glasses
and mirrors in the cabin must be very clean.

• Crossing headlights shall be on at all times when driving.

• Try to avoid starting in reverse gear. If you have no choice, please

make sure there are no people or things that could get damaged and
signal your intention by honking the horn twice before setting the
machine in motion.

• If loading areas must be irrigated in which dumper trucks remain

waiting to proceed with loading or to leave loaded, before driving to
such areas the water tanker operator shall make sure all drivers are
aware of his/her presence by honking the horn.

22
+
STEPS FOR
ACCESS:
• Getting on and off machines: Please remember most
accidents at the worksite occur when getting on or off
machines. Always use steps and handrails for that
purpose. We must insist on the need of paying the
necessary attention to this procedure and to keep in
mind the three-supporting-points rule.

23
+
HOSE FOR
LOADING:
• Male-type nozzle of 150 mm.
• Aspiration capacity of the tanker decreases based on the gap
existing with the water intake level.
• A frequent cause of breakdowns is stepping on the hose as all
equipment becomes unusable.
• Bear this in mind when positioning the tanker for loading.
o Distance to water from loading truck.
o Soil condition.
o The place for laying the hose outside the truck's transit path.
o Water height gaps and potential streams.
o Third parties that could handle the hose.

24
+
HOSE FOR
LOADING:
• The grid in the hose prevents aspiration of rocks. Which
could be hurled during unloading.
• It is the water tanker operator’s responsibility to protect
the loading hoses from any potential risks of being
stepped over or hit by the tanker or by any other
vehicles. Avoid leaving the hoses in places where they
could be lost or where anyone unaware may take them
somewhere else.

25
Chain

Output mouth

+
WATER
SPREADER:
• Adapt output diameter to irrigation needs.
• Secure the spreader to the truck.
• Risk of serious accident.
• Never allow vehicle transit within the irrigation scope. When
driving within the radius, light vehicles completely lose sight
both of the tanker and the traffic coming from the opposite
side.
• Loading units would be travelling a few meters away from the
tanker; loss of sight; travelling on dry surfaces, on a surface
that has just been irrigated, if braking a collision takes place.
• If cooling elements are wet, existing dust is stuck on to them
and working capacity decreases.

26
+
MANUAL
VALVE:
• It is located on the truck's left-hand side.
• Your safety and other people’s safety rely on care and
good judgment you show whenever operating the
tanker. Watch out, a path that has been excessively
irrigated turns slippery and may be a direct cause of an
accident.
• In sloping paths, a lane shall be left dry in such a way
that a dry side shall always be available in order to
prevent trucks from sliding.

27
Rubber joint

+
BACK
HATCH:
• Back door allows access to the inside of the tanker.
• Risk of serious accident.
• This is a confined space. Rests of toxic materials may
remain.
• Before entering, open the upper door to allow air inside
for ventilation.
• Unauthorized access is not allowed.
• A person must stay outside.
• When closing the door, be particularly careful in
assembling the sealing joint.

28
+
MAN
MOUTH:
• The upper door or man mouth allows access to the
inside of the tanker from above.

• When closing the door, be particularly careful in

assembling the sealing joint.

• Risk of serious accident.

• In order to get inside, it is a requirement that both this

and the rear door are open.

pressure inside the tank to air pressure.
• Check the aspiration-compression axle if when
activating the lever the depressor does not switch
operations.

42
Depression Pressure

+
PRESSURE GAUGE:

• During the aspiration operation a depression is created

inside the tank. This will be shown by the pressure
gauge in the negative. area.
• The positive area in the pressure gauge indicates
overpressure inside the tank. This is necessary for
unloading the tank.
• From the operator's seat we can control the pressure
provided to the tank, stop the depressor before the
safety valve is activated.
• Once the water level goes down, connect again the
depressor to balance pressure during irrigation.
