Service Bulletin: Issued by Canon Europa N.V

This service bulletin from Canon addresses an issue where removing a fan duct from copier models iR5570 and iR6570 could cause too much stress on a connector, leading to a cable break and error code. To prevent this, a new fan connecting cable part is introduced that makes disconnecting the fan relay connector easier. Technicians are instructed to add this new cable by connecting it between the front cable and fan relay cable inside the machine. This improves the cable connection and prevents cable breaks when removing the fan duct.

Subject:
Preventing the error code "E824" resulted from a break in the Front Cable
Detail:
When removing the Primary Fan Duct [1], a Relay Connector connected to the Primary Fan is hard to be
disconnected, consequently applying too much load to J161D Connector [2] of the Front Cable. This, in some cases,
causes a break in the Cable, ultimately leading to the error code "E824" (Primary Charging Cooling Fan error). To
prevent this, the Fan Connecting Cable is added to facilitate connection/ disconnection of the Reply Connector.
