    Harry Potter SWAPs


    While SWAPs tend to be a Girl Scout activity, look beyond this use. You can also create small crafts in this theme to include with collaged items, artistic trading cards and more.

    Brainstorm Harry Potter: Magical Crafts


    Brainstorm a list of items from the movies and books that you can incorporate into your SWAP planning. Here are a few to start: S.P.E.W Badge Potter Stinks Badge House crests (small) Ear muff and mandrake Wand Toy rat Quill and ink Broomstick Cat, owl, rat or toad familiar Plastic spiders Hogwarts letter Crystal ball Sorting hat Sword Elf socks / hat Hogwarts Express Ticket Marauders Map Triwizard Tournament Poster: Krum, Harry, etc. Time Turner Golden Snitch Sneakoscope Extendable Ears Wizard Chess Remembrall (large marble) Bag of Floo Powder or Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder When youve run out of ideas, search the Web for more plus images to help you visualize your SWAP. Create one or more to share at your Harry Potter event or create an area to make SWAPs. Some SWAPs may be house dependent. For example, if youre making beaded crests, youd want to have sets of beads for each house instead of each participant.

    You will nd a few printables following this page to print and use in your own SWAPs. House Crests These are slightly under 2. They are laid out so you can easily cut strips by house or in a set for each of the four houses. Circle Charms They are designed to be used with a 1 punch. You can place these into attened bottle caps as charms or covered with laminate to make charms. Like the crests, they are designed so you can provide a full set of eight charms or ve of the same one, depending on whether youre using these for Harry Potter: House Crafts or Harry Potter: Magical Crafts.
