How to Read The Celtic Cross Tarot Spread

21
May
There is no right or wrong way to spread the cards.

Our way to do it:

1- The Present/ The Self. Description of the situation at the moment.

2- The Problem. An impulse from the outside, which can help the cause,
something joins it, or maybe interfere.

These two cards describe the alleged side of events, two – its probability
and the non-obvious side.

3-Conscious  Level of consciousness. What the questioner already

knows (reads), or what he is playing for.

4- Unconscious  Subconscious level. “That which is below,” as in the old

days, the murder of fortune-tellers. This is the basis, the whole situation,
its nature, and the deep deep conviction of a person in his actions, which
is very difficult to shake.

5- The Past  Map of the past. She described what was relatively recent,
what exactly caused the question itself, or misfortune for the reasons for
the occurrence of this situation.
6-The Future, The first map of the future, shows what is expected of the
questioner soon.

7-Your Influence This card personifies the questioner, his attitude to the

situation (ie, to cards 1 and 2), or his mood in connection with it.

8- External Influence This card can capture the place where the

situation is being played out, or the role of other people in it. When it
comes to a matter between two people, this card indicates a partner, a
man or a woman.

9- Hopes & Fears The role of this card is often underestimated because

it does not contain any forecast. It can give valuable information wildly if
we are guessing at an absent person. It shows how a person evaluates
the situation, what he hopes for and what he fears.

10- Outcome, The second map of the future describes more distant

prospects and indicates where everything is going.

Thus, we read the forecast only for positions 6 and 10. All other cards
describe only specific details, the “background” against which the
situation associated with a given case is played out.

Interpretation of card indicators

The best start is at position 5 (past, background) and then move to

position 9 (hopes and fears). Thus, you immediately get a general idea of
the reasons for the question (position 5), and what exactly worries the
question (position 9). Next, pay attention to cards 1 and 2, which cause
the primary driving impulses, and the first card always shows the initial
impulse, the initial one, and the initial one – connected, which can add
something to the situation, can stop things, or vice versa, increase it.
Then, he pursues what the questioner is aware of (position 3), and what
he hides in his subconscious (position 4). Note that this position is critical.
What is rooted in the subconscious, no hurricanes will shake. If one
negative card is found in this problem, it is bad for the whole spread, even
if the rest of the cards are better. After that, find out how the questioner
relates to the given one (position 7), what external factors or other people
play a role in it (position 8), and only then implement the situation
forecasts in positions 6 and 10.
Each card position in a spread carries a particular meaning that helps you
interpret the significance of the card falling in that position. The meaning
of an individual card in reading will depend on many factors: its position in
the spread, the surrounding cards, the nature of the question, and the
reader’s intuitive awareness. The art of reading a spread is weaving
together a story that links and synthesizes the cards’ meanings with the
meanings of their positions in the spread.
