How to Open a PayPal Account that Can Send &

Receive Fund in Nigeria

If you are reading this guide, you already know what problem the guide sets out to solve. So no
need for long talk. Let’s cut to the chase.
To overcome the challenges of not enjoying the full benefits of a PayPal account as a Nigerian,
we’ll have to create a Lesotho account instead. With it, you can do everything you want to.
Details you’ll need
- Phone number
- Email address
- Valid id (passport, driver’s license or national id)
Step 1:

Copy and paste the link below on your browser:

https://www.paypal.com/ls/webapps/mpp/merchant
(If you were creating a Nigerian account, this is the link you’ll see once you type paypal.com in your browser-
https://www.paypal.com/ng/webapps/mpp/home. You’ll notice that there’s only one option for Nigerian account
and that’s the personal account. But PayPal Lesotho has both personal and business, that’s why we are using it.)

Steps 2 and 3:

Tap on business then sign up. We’re choosing a business account instead of a personal
account because it has the full payment features needed.
As shown in the image below, choose business account then click on continue.
Step 4:
You’ll be prompted to fill in your email address next.
P.S.: Don’t use a yahoo mail. Use a gmail preferably

Fill it then tap next

Step 5:
Next, you’ll have to enter your personal details and business information

Fill your first and last name as they are stated in your ID cards
N.B.: Your business mustn’t be a registered business
While filling your phone number, change the country code from Lesotho to Nigeria first.
Choose from the drop-down list. Start typing your number from the second digit. Omit the
first zero.
Fill in your correct address and its matching postal code. If you’re not sure of the postal code,
browse for it.
Leave your primary currency as US Dollar.
Agree to the User Agreement and Privacy policy by clicking on ‘Agree and Continue’.
Step 6: Tell us about your business

Choose from the drop-down options what best defines your business.
If your business doesn’t have a website, you can leave that box blank.
Click on continue.

Step 7: Provide information about…

You’re required to put in your id card details here

Click on submit.
Go to your email and activate your account by verifying it.
You’ll have to link your card next
After activating your account, go to the notifications on your profile to link your card. If
there’s no notification, you can just go to your settings or click on the link below to link your
card
