“A Case Study of the Impact of Globalization towards the Natural and

Environmental Resources”

Executive Summary

The environmental issue has become a global problem that needs to be examined frequently,
motivating researchers to investigate it. Thus, this study investigates the asymmetric impact of
globalization, economic growth and natural resources towards our environment. So, the researchers
aim to look into the factors that has brought by globalization and their impact on natural and
environmental resources. Because of the pandemic, the researchers produced a survey
questionnaire for the respondents and gave it to them via messenger. Survey data is then
statistically examined in order to obtain relevant results of the study. Furthermore, we
discovered through our online survey that the majority of people around out locality have and
always experienced the effects of globalization each and every step of the way. Globalization is
One of the most common causes why our environment lies in the higher risks. Our environment
became hooked to social media, which is why people are experiencing this type of difficulty.
The study's findings highlight the impact of globalization in our environments, particularly on
natural resources, because there is a correlation between globalization’s characteristics and
people’s performance. Therefore, this topic is very important that needs to be discussed in
order to help the people to be informed. This research is significant as it will assist each
individual in dealing with a sudden change cause by globalization, which has a wide range of
consequences for people, including natural and environmental resources as well as to raise
awareness and provide more information to everyone for them to figure out the things they
must do. The findings have confirmed that the effect of globalization to natural resources are significant
and nonlinear.

INTRODUCTION

Natural and environmental resources are particularly sensitive to globalization's

impacts, especially as the demand for ecosystem products and services to feed local and

worldwide markets grows. The capacity of environmental resources is to support these services

can be influenced by unmanaged exploitation of water, timber, wildlife, tourism, and forest

products. Natural and environmental resources are under increasing stress as a result of quickly

changing settings, and there is a need to reduce globalization's unintended consequences

(negative externalities. One of the most pressing issues confronting the world community is

environmental deterioration. Increased resource usage could have an environmental impact.

Climate change is recognized as one of the greatest concerns facing the modern human species,

especially in light of diminishing resources. It is safe to say that everyone, regardless of whether they

live in developed or developing countries, is to blame for the progressive deteriorating of living

conditions. Natural resources are commonly recognized as a nation's asset, allowing countries to be

preferred in international trade. Natural resource scarcity and environmental challenges are not

localized issues; rather, they constitute a worldwide challenge. Natural resources, which include soils,

forests, grassland, air, water, minerals, fuels, and other variables of production provided by nature, can

be critical to a country's prosperity. In this sense, it is suggested that increasing natural resource

depletion poses a serious threat to long-term development. The impact of human and economic activity

on environmental degradation is studied using several methodologies. Globalization may exacerbate

environmental impact without strong governance and regulatory mechanisms.
