2 Purpose and Description


The purpose of this project is to develop a computerized system that will improve the business operation
particularly on records management which a greater help to the owner in keeping the records of the boarders
and calculate the monthly total collection of the business and all the information needed will be stored in the
database. The propose system can also add, update, edit, search, accept the payment of the boarders, view their
balance, view the list of boarders, view the available rooms, send SMS notifications to the boarders’ and print
the monthly income of the business and records of the boarders.

1.3 Objectives
This study aims to develop a Computerized Boarder’s Information and Billing that will improve the
records management of the business. Specifically, the study aims to:
1. provide fast and easy access and managing of boarders records;
2. Provide security in keeping the data of boarders in their personal information and payments.
3. develop a feature that will compute the monthly total collection of the business and generate
monthly report;
4. develop a feature that will help the user to inform the boarders’ monthly payment through SMS;
5. develop a feature for fast searching and viewing of payments;
6. Provide accurate way of recording boarders’ information.
7. evaluate the system using ISO/IEC 25010:2011 Software Quality Model in terms of:
a. Functional Suitability;
b. Performance Efficiency;
c. Compatibility;
d. Usability;
e. Reliability;
f. Security;
g. Maintainability;
8. Portability.
