MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING (MOU)


WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT (LGU) ON
SUPPORTING BRIGADA ESKWELA 2021.

1. As COVID19 continues its spread, the outpouring of care, support, and direct aid
coming from all corners of the community is beautiful and revealing. In this
connection, Sampaloc Elementary School issues the enclosed Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU) with the Local Government Unit - Brgy. Sampaloc (LGU
SAMPALOC) on supporting the program & projects of Sampaloc Elementary
School.
2. This MOU was crafted to establish a partnership with LGU Sampaloc and councils to
contribute and provide support for the upcoming 2021 Brigada Eskwela for SY 2021-
2022.
3. All Teachers, Parents and Stakeholders are directed to get in touch virtually with
for t h e potential partnership on the implementation of this MOU.
4. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:

This memorandum of Understanding (The “MOU”) is entered this 11th of October 2021 by and between:

The SAMPALOC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, with School Identification Number 105131 a public elementary,
with a principal address at Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan, represented in this Understanding by
Head Teacher III, Evelyn V. Perez hereinafter referred to as the SCHOOL;

-and-

LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT (BRGY. SAMPALOC), duly constituted and registered in the Philippines, with
i t s principal address at Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan, represented in this Understanding by its
Barangay Chairman, Hon. Ernesto C. Roque, Jr. hereinafter referred to as the “LGU SAMPALOC”.

WITNESSETH:

WHEREAS, the Department of Education, hereinafter referred to as “DepEd”, is the primary government
instrumentality mandated to formulate, implement, and coordinate policies, plans, programs, and
projects in the areas of formal and non-formal basic education; supervise all elementary and secondary
education institutions, including alternative learning systems, adequate, and integrated system of basic
education relevant to the goals of national development.

WHEREAS, the DepEd has introduced the K to 12 basic education programs with the major objective of
ensuring that graduates in this curriculum are ready for Senior High School and with higher thinking.

WHEREAS, the SCHOOL believes that for the effective delivery of instruction, there is a need for a
school-community partnership that will provide the school wit h the necessary assistance such as
providing school supplies for pupils and any other supports that will benefit the learners to gain more
motivation and desire for learning.

WHEREAS, to achieve this objective, the SCHOOL needs to enter into School-Community Partnership with
the DF.

WHEREAS, the LGU SAMPALOC operates in the area where the SCHOOL is located and is looking forward
to providing security for the school and the pupils and among any other supports that will benefit the
learners.

WHEREAS, the LGU SAMPALOC considers going into a partnership with the School as part of its mission
to create a positive impact on the community, especially the young people.

WHEREAS, the SCHOOL and the LGU SAMPALOC, hereinafter collectively referred to as “the PARTIES”,
undertake to collaborate for the successful implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum in Sampaloc
cognizant of the need for special protection of the child and with the best interest of the learners at
heart;

NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the foregoing premises, the PARTIES hereby agree as
follows:
I. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES

A. LGU SAMPALOC:
LGU SAMPALOC hereby agrees to assist School in procuring and partnerships in connection with the K to
12 Program, including all or any of the following:
1. The provision of security for the school and the pupils.
2. The provision of assistance in soliciting support and other contributions to address resource
gaps; and
3. Provide inputs into the curriculum through the discussion or workshops that School will organize.

B. SCHOOL:
Advise its teachers, as well as the community stakeholders regarding this MOU and encourage them to
cooperate with LGU SAMPALOC;

Provide assistance in the form of giving advice, data, or information, which may be necessary to enable
LGU SAMPALOC, to effectively implement this MOU and such programs relating hereto.

The parties may form a Working Committee composed of representatives from the School and LGU
SAMPALOC to determine the details to implement this MOU.

II. PROGRESS REPORT


LGU SAMPALOC shall provide the School at least once every year with updates on the program which
they have adopted in accordance with this MOU and their accomplishments in the implementation of
the said programs and this MOU.

III. TERM AND TERMINATION


This MOU shall be effective on the 11th of October 2021 and shall terminate upon prior written notice
to the other party, at least 30 days prior to the intended date of termination.

IV. GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION, AND DISPUTE RESOLUTIONS


This MOU shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law and the parties hereby submit
to the exclusive jurisdiction of Sampaloc, San Rafael, Bulacan.

V. EFFECTIVITY CLAUSE
This memorandum of Understanding shall take effect upon signing this document.

IN WITNESS THEREOF, the parties have hereunto set their hands on the foregoing instrument this 5th of
October 2021.
