Aside from praying the following are the general notes that can help you.
SUBJECT I: History and Theory of Architecture, Principles of Planning and Architecture Practice
1. Reading Comprehension is VITAL
2. To answer most questions in Subject 1 you need: STUDY
3. Reconstructed exam is 80/100, 95% verbatim including choices, all figures/pictures are 90% right
including format and angles.
4. Analyze how the examiners play with the choices
5. Understand that there are questions in the board exam especially in History whose SOLE
PURPOSE is to SHOCK YOU. Keep your composure
6. Do not overthink. Although some of the questions are bombs, many of them are super easy.
SUBJECT II: Utilities Systems, Structural Conceptualization, Building Materials and Construction
1. Reading Comprehension is VITAL
2. To answer most questions in Subject II you need: EXPERIENCE
3. Reconstructed exam is 64/150, 80% verbatim including choices, all figures/pictures are 80% right
including format and angles.
4. If you really don’t know the picture illustrated determine the possibilities. Example, imagine its
mechanism, does it rotate or swing, is it rigid or soft etc. From the smallest data you can retrieve
deduce the answer.
SUBJECT III: Architectural Design and Site Planning
1. Reading Comprehension is VITAL
2. To answer most questions in Subject III you need: INTELLIGENCE
3. Reconstructed exam is 51/200, 60% verbatim including choices, problems are 100% right layout.
4. Practice layouting at true north to save time and avoid confusion.
5. There were 7 problems presented, 2 of which you don’t need to draw (that’s why I forgot them).
The five problems that needs drawings were:

7. Understand that even the exam is prepared and reviewed carefully there is still a room for human
error.
