BEFORE INSTALLING OR TESTING RACEWAYS & TUBING, OUR EMPLOYEES WILL ENSURE THAT THEY: YES N/A

PROVIDE A MINIMUM TWO (2) METERS OF HEADROOM IN ALL PASSAGEWAYS FOR TUBING AND RACEWAYS.
INSTALL TUBING AND RACEWAY NEATLY, PLUMB, SQUARE AND SLOPE IF REQUIRED AS PER APPROVED
DRAWINGS.
CHECK TUBING SUPPORT BRACKETS AND SUPPORT CHANNELS ARE RIGIDLY FASTENED TO STRUCTURAL STEEL
MEMBERS OR CONCRETE FOUNDATIONS, AS REQUIRED.
PROPERLY SUPPORT TUBING BY MEANS OF RACEWAYS AS PER APPROVED DRAWINGS.
CHECK TUBING SUPPORTS & SUPPORT CHANNELS ARE SIZED SUCH THAT ALL TUBING CAN BE PLACED IN A
SINGLE ROW.
CONTINUOUSLY SUPPORT THE INSTRUMENT CAPILLARY LINES AND TUBING, (LESS THAN ½ O.D.) AND ARE
SECURELY FASTENED IN RACEWAY TO WITHIN 0.5M OF EITHER END.
ENSURE INSTRUMENT TUBING OF ½” OR GREATER O.D. IS RIGIDLY SUPPORTED AT A MINIMUM OF EVERY 1M ON
HORIZONTAL RUNS & EVERY 2M ON VERTICAL RUNS WITH SUPPORT AT A MAXIMUM DISTANCE OR 1M FROM
EITHER END.
HAVE ADEQUATE EXPANSION LOOPS IN VERTICAL RUNS OF TUBING WHEN ATTACHED TO PROCESS VESSELS,
THAT THEY ARE SUPPORTED SUCH THAT THE TUBING WILL NOT BE SUBJECTED TO STRESS DUE TO THE
GROWTH OF THE VESSEL UNDER OPERATION CONDITIONS, AS PER APPROVED DRAWINGS.
CHECK TUBING RUNS ARE ONE CONTINUOUS LENGTH AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. USE OF TUBING UNIONS ARE TO
BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM.
CHECK TUBING BENDS ARE DONE WITH A PROPER BENDER AND FREE OF WRINKLES, CREASES AND KINKS.

ENSURE ALL TUBING ENDS ARE REAMED TO REMOVE ALL BURRS AFTER CUTTING.
CHECK ALL TUBING IS CUT WITH A WHEEL TYPE CUTTER. USE OF A HACKSAW, FILE OR OTHER CUTTING

TIGHTENED OR WHICH WERE NOT FULLY INSERTED INTO THE FITTING PRIOR TO TIGHTENING, THIS IS NOT
ACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE USED.
CHECK THAT IF MULTIPLE TUBES ARE RUN IN THE SAME RACEWAY AND TUBE UNIONS, AS REQUIRED, THAT
THEY ARE STAGGERED AND OFFSET OUT FROM RACEWAYS SO THEY CAN EASILY BE TIGHTENED OR UNDONE.
CHECK TUBING, TUBE FITTINGS, PIPE FITTINGS, ETC., ARE INSTALLED FOR THE PROCESS CONDITIONS AS PER
THE PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS (E.G. STAINLESS STEEL ON CERTAIN PROCESSES, STAINLESS STEEL FERULE IN
CADMIUM PLATED FITTINGS, DIFFERENT THICKNESS OF TUBING WALLS, ETC.)
CHECK THE TYPE AND BRAND OF PIPE DOPE (FOR PIPE FITTINGS) OR TEFLON TAPE (FOR TUBING FITTINGS),
WHICH ARE APPROVED BY THE CLIENT.
CHECK WHERE ACCEPTABLE; PLACE BOTH TEFLON TAPE AND JET LUBE TF-15 PIPE DOPE ON ALL PROCESS-
