Good morning (o good afternoon) my name is Sara Pulido and today with my friends Andres Torres
and Anny Prieto we will talk about mystique that is a one of the most important character in
marvel universe. The topics that we will talk is a quickly general information and then her physical
and emotional description, why is she important and what is her contribution in marvel universe,
in how many movies does she appear and which ones and some fun facts

Let’s get start

Andres:

The real name of mystique is Raven Darkhölme, mystique is her nickname. It’s estimated that her
age it’s around over 100 years but actually she´s dead, the principal cause of her death is because
jean grey that is a one of the most powerful mutant in x-men, she enter in a state where she can´t
control her powers and cause a telekinetic blast in the mystique´s brain and pushing her over the
air and when she fall into the floor she´s impaled by a broken piece of wood.

Anny:

Ok, so let´s start with her physical description and then with her emotional description

She has the power to change her physical form into the other people even the height, size, clothes
and voice. In her real form she has a blue skin, she most of the time is naked because that’s help
when she change her physical appearance although when she dressed in her real form all of her
clothes are dark. Her hair is red, in comics usually are long but in movies is short, her eyes are
complete yellow I mean no just her retina is the whole eye.

Now, usually in her missions she look like as if she has not heart or she was cool but the reason it´s
because she think that if she do it in that way she can do better her job, in many times she acting
by her anger or her pain, that causes that she has problems when she fights even she act rude or
cool

She´s a great leader and very confident by herself when her goals are clear and no one represent
any type of threatens, She fits the stereotype of a typical outlaw and a great mutant freedom
fighter.

Andres:

Let’s talk about Why is she important in marvel universe And What is her contribution in the
marvel universe?

Sara:

It´s important that the Dr Xavier and magneto be together because they raised together with
mystique since they were young, (they both developed a great love and affection for mystique)
and just them know how can be saved the world and the future, Xavier and Magneto are the most
powerful and biggest mutants in the whole world so mystique is the key to this two mutants let’s
get back together after be separates one from each other for a long time and when are united can
be saved the future to time. So without mystique would haven’t been possible that there was a
future

Anny:

In how many movies does she appeared and which ones

Andres:

And the last point, some fun facts

Sara:

-The first time that Jenifer Lawrence had to be made up conform to her character, the time
estimated to create her look took around 7-8 hours to paint all her body blue and around 6 people
to make up so that was a very hard and so extensive process

Andres:

-During the filming of days of future past, Patrick Stewart that is the actor who play Dr Xavier on x-
men, made a joke to the director of the movie telling him that he wanted to play mystique
because he was open to the idea to be painted blue and being naked on screen

Sara:

-Some of the fans did some critics about Jenifer Lawrence playing mystique, this caused that she
spent a lot of time investigated about her character in comics, fan pages into others to be and do a
greatest and amazing character

Anny:

-Going back to makeup, Jenifer Lawrence was afraid because when she was being made up, the
makeup artists put some chemicals in all her body and face to the blue paint wasn’t fall, and when
she breathed those chemicals, she got a headache.
- That sounds so weird but the costume that she had to wear for the film she hated because it was
so uncomfortable and difficult to remove, so she opted to urinate through a funnel.

Andres:

-During the film of First class jeniffer lawrence had to rent an aparment in london, and when she
was go to home and took a shower to remove the makeup all her bath came blue so when she
came for getting her security deposit had a troubles with her landlord
