PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
My personal experience during my ojt is very challenging and fascinating. During our first
day of my OJT, I learned so many things. I learned how to wake up very early and go to the
working place on time, learned how to fix the beddings, how to cook the specialties of
Cococay, and mostly how to treat the customers right. While doing my on-the-job training at
Cococay. I met different types of customers there are nice and they're some of the
customers are very rude when it comes to the food that they eat and the room that they stay
in. But the one thing that I've learned is that you must do your job properly so that you will
satisfy the needs that they want and also they are the key to every business. This
experience will help me in the future. This on-the-job training is that true hospitality consists
of giving the best of yourself to your guest. if I were looking for a job I will go back to
Cococay to work for them because they are the nicest people I've ever met in my life when it
comes to the hospitality industry and I hope I can apply all this experience in the future.
LESSON LEARNED
During my OJT, I learned so many things like you have to be more flexible in work,
especially in our field. We should be hardworking, passionate, patient, and also can work
under pressure. We should be always on our best especially for different kinds of customers
to be handled. Even when the customer is hot-headed you will always be nice to them and
talk to them nicely and clam. In housekeeping and the kitchen, I learned that cleanliness and
neatness is the main reason why customers are attracted to it. Because if you have this in
your company this is eye-catching and also perfect to them. I hope in the near future I will
use these skills and be the best employee or to be the owner that I want to be.
The factors that affect students' ojt performance during a pandemic are that they have
limited hours, they also have limited knowledge about the things they do during the ojt and
the one that really affects the student's performance is the social distancing because they
have limited interaction between you and the customers. You cannot smile at them to make
them feel welcome and you always make sure that all the things are well sanitized to keep
them safe from the virus.
