How it Works- The Principle

When a specific amount of EV energy is imparted on

How Pollution can Influence Virus Spreading

1. While the diameter of the virus is approximately 120 nanometres (0.120
microns), it must be attached to an aerosol particle to be transported through
the air.

2. Technical studies have shown that more than 50 percent of virus-carrying aerosol
particles have sizes of <4 microns. Small particle sizes more readily exist in low-
RH conditions.

 These small particles are more easily drawn into the lungs and therefore are more
likely to cause infection.

 These small particles are more likely to exist in low RH conditions (<30 percent).
Thus, increasing the RH from this condition to 50 percent can help reduce the
amount that can be pulled directly into the lungs.

3. Infection rate of the viruses increases with the rise in air pollution, tiny
particulate matter suspended into the air works as a carrier in spreading the CORONAVIRUS
virus

4. An increase of only one microgram per cubic meter in PM 2.5 - dangerous tiny

 How BPI Inactivates viruses :
Ions attach themselves to capsid of viruses.
Pull hydrogen atom from it momentarily and form water vapor

 BPI has proven to be effective against a number of viruses: H1N1 influenza, H5N1 avian influenza (bird flu), and corona.
 The bipolar ions, surround the hemagglutinin (surface proteins that form on organisms and trigger infections) and change
into highly reactive hydroxyl radicals.
 These take a hydrogen molecule from the hemagglutinin and change into water.
 The ions destroy the virus surface structure, in the case of coronavirus the spikes, on a molecular level. As a result, the
virus cannot cause infection, even if it enters the body.

ERV/CTFA
Fresh Air Solution For The HVAC/Non HVAC Premises-
 Energy recovery ventilation (ERV) is the energy recovery process in residential and
commercial HVAC systems that exchanges the energy contained in normally exhausted air of a building
or conditioned space, using it to treat (precondition) the incoming outdoor ventilation air. The specific
equipment involved may be called an Energy Recovery Ventilator/Centrally Treated Fresh Air, also
abbreviated ERV/CTFA(Godrej).
 Fixed plate heat exchangers have no moving parts, and consist of alternating layers of plates that are
separated and sealed. Typical flow is cross current and since the majority of plates are solid and non
permeable, sensible only transfer is the result.
 The tempering of incoming fresh air is done by a heat or energy recovery core. In this case, the core is
made of aluminium or plastic plates. Humidity levels are adjusted through the transferring of water
vapour.

Electronic Air Cleaner

• Electronic Air Cleaner (EAC) are used in return path
of HVAC System (TFA) to reduce the amount of
airborne particulates (PM2.5/PM10).

• Contaminated air is drawn by the blower (external)

through a washable metal mesh pre-filter which
traps large dust particles. The remaining particles
pass through a strong electrical field (ionizing
section) where the particulates receive an electrical
charge.

• The charged particles then pass into the collector

plates section made up of equally spaced parallel
plates, which attract and collect the contaminants.
The contaminants are held in these plates until they
are washed away.
