A building management system (BMS) is a computer-based control system that monitors and controls a building's electrical and mechanical equipment like lighting, HVAC systems, and power systems to improve sustainability. There are two main types of BMS systems: monitoring and targeting systems that track energy usage and identify areas for improvement, and continuous commissioning systems that continuously adjust HVAC and other systems to meet demand. While BMS were originally used mainly for commercial buildings due to ease of use and cost, they are now also commonly used in residences. Key benefits of a BMS include more efficient electricity use, improved employee comfort, smoother facility operations, increased productivity, and reduced carbon footprint through lower greenhouse gas emissions.

What is BMS (Building Management System)?

Building Management System some time also called Building Automation System it is
the computer-based control system It is installed in the building premises It is
use for the controlling and Monitoring the Electrical and Mechanical Equipment's
such as lightings, Heat Ventilation and Airconditioning Systems, and Power System
to confirm sustainability.

How many types of BMS Systems?

There are basically two types of BMS System – Monitoring and targeting Systems.

Designed to monitor energy consumption and it's also use for target areas for
updating. Continues commissioning systems – for adjust the heating, ventilation,
air conditioning (HVAC) and other systems continuously to meet demand.

Do all buildings have BMS?

In previous era BMS only used for commercial purposes, because easy to use the BMS
system to control, monitoring, detection and it is also cheap therefore now people
are using it in residence.

What is the best BMS System?

There are many BMS Systems but these are the Top Brand in BMS System.

Johnson Controls.

Honeywell International.

Siemens.

Schneider Electric.

United Technologies.

IBM.

Ingersoll-Rand.

Delta Controls.

What is the role of BMS Operator?

As a BMS Operator, BMS Operator will be assigned as supervisor category to monitor

the BMS Software and reports to the senior engineer as per their facility
management procedure of building equipment's.

Why BMS is benefit of installing in building?

BMS is necessary to install in commercial building makes use of electricity

efficiently, keeps its employees comfortable, run the plant smoothly, leading to
increased productivity. It also reduces a building’s carbon footprint through
minimal emission of greenhouse gases.

What is BMS Optimization?

BMS Optimization is always the fastest and Cheapest way to increase the performance
of your building. Second way the BMS is configured to react to conditions, changing
the steps and prefer of the response and always changing the criteria that it is
looking at can reduce energy expenditure.
