GERMANUS Rolling Machine: FAQ Answers To Frequently Asked Questions
GERMANUS Rolling Machine: FAQ Answers To Frequently Asked Questions
Answer: Many users are unsure how to use a cigarette roller. In fact, they are very
simple to use. The pictures and videos below show how to roll a cigarette using a rolling
machine. You can call up the videos via the links below the descriptions.
1.) Open the box. Fill the space between the lid and the roller with tobacco. For a filter
cigarette, please insert a filter before adding the tobacco.
2.) Moisten the glued edge of the cigarette paper. From above, place the paper behind
the tobacco.
3.) Close the box.
4.) Remove the finished cigarette.
Depending on the rolling tobacco and cigarette papers you are using, it may take a little
practice to get the perfect quantity of tobacco.
Note on filters: please use regular filters instead of slim filters.
Answer: If you require a filter, you will need to choose a compatible type of filter.
There are numerous sizes and brands of filter. Even within a certain size class, you will
find that filters differ in length and diameter. There are invariably discrepancies between
individual products.
Having tested our machines with these thoroughly, filters should be slightly compressed
or glued. So the filter should always be slightly thicker than the cigarette
format? Simply, standard filters of ‘regular’ size are the most suitable.
For 8mm cigarettes: Regular standard filters
For 6mm cigarettes: 8mm filters compressed accordingly (highly practical).
You can of course use slimmer filters up to a size of 6mm. Filters measuring 7mm are
very popular at the moment. If the filter has the same diameter as the cigarette, it
cannot be compressed. Since there is no friction, the filter does not hold
properly.
Most 6mm filters fold firmly. The easiest way to affix a filter that is too thin is to place a
few strands of tobacco above or below the filter. This will attach the filter easily. If this
does not work, however, please use a wider filter. Generally, special filters are not
necessary. We simply recommend using basic filters of a standard size.
Answer: There is a simple action you can perform to select your preferred cigarette size.
Just remove the rolling strap and re-insert the bar in the hole you require. The thinner
settings offer a choice between 6mm and 8mm. You can also exchange the entire strap in
this way. We sell spare straps as a separate product;
please refer to the video link in the description.
The machine rolls as described, but the cigarettes come out too tight or
soft. What can I do?
Answer: Basically there are 3 possible reasons, all of which are connected with the
tobacco.
1.) Tobacco fresh from the pouch is often very moist, depending on its age. Most pipe
tobaccos, for example, must be allowed to dry after opening the pouch as they are much
too moist to spoke straight from the packet. The same goes for many varieties of rolling
tobacco; we would advise drying out the tobacco before use.
2.) If your cigarettes are too soft or too tight, this is probably because of an incorrect
quantity of tobacco. To resolve this, simply vary the amount of tobacco.
3.) Tobacco from the pouch is usually somewhat compressed. Please loosen up the
tobacco before inserting it into the rolling machine.
