Biodegradability Rate of Oxo-Biodegradable Plastics Using Cow, Goat, and Pig Manure

This document presents a research study conducted by students from Zarraga National High School on the biodegradability of oxo-biodegradable plastics in different types of animal manure. The study aimed to measure the weight loss of plastic strips submerged in cow, goat, and pig manure over 15 and 30 days. The research employed an experimental design and the data was collected through replication and weighing of the plastic strips after submersion. The results and conclusions of the study are yet to be reported.

Abstract

The researchers aimed to investigate the

biodegradability level of oxo-biodegradable plastics

submerged in cow, goat, and pig manure and measure its

weight loss after 15th and 30th day of submersion. It was

conducted during 2nd semester of School Year 2018-2019.

Using experimental type research, the data were

gathered from the replication of substrates and plastic

strips.
