INTRODUCTION
In this study, we are going to find out how students in BSU La Trinidad
cope up with the stress and challenges provided by the pandemic and as
well in transitioning from online class to face to face class. To support the
researchers will look on the coping mechanisms of BSU students. This is
to help out the students in their learning approaches. It is a way for
students and a reference for the whole Benguet to look into the
effectiveness of the strategies, techniques, methods, and management of
their online classes and help them switch to other methods if needed.
Furthermore, this could serve as the guidelines of any universities or
individuals for information’s, create, improve, and implement such policies.
Conceptual Framework
Section 2 of Executive Order No. (E.O.) 112, (s. 2020) provides that
provincial governors shall be authorized to impose, lift or give guidelines in
the Quarantine in component cities and municipalities upon the
concurrence of the relevant regional counterpart body of the Inter-Agency
Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF);
and, that the mayors of cities and municipalities are likewise authorized to
impose, lift or extend and implement different rules in barangays, upon the
concurrence of the relevant regional counterpart body of the IATF;
provided, that this is without prejudice to the authority of the IATF to
directly impose.
1. What are the struggles of BSU students that may affect in adapting
the face to face class after two years of online class?
3. What are the BSU student’s insights about the face to face classes?
The study reveals that most BSU students are using mobile data as their
means of connecting to the internet. One third of our participants say
that they have Wi-Fi at home. 2/3 claims they rely on their phones for
mobile data. As a result, most are not satisfied on the service provided
by the internet connection. This is one of the reasons why students are
having hard time submitting their requirements online or meeting in an
online class. The upload and download speed of the mobile internet is
always fluctuating. With such, students become frustrated to use mobile
internet to upload documents or download videos online. To those who
are living in far remote areas, students are struggling more than the
students living in the city because of unstable internet connectivity,
inadequate learning resources, electric power interruptions, vague
learning contents, overloaded lesson activities, limited teacher scaffolds,
and poor peer communication. Most of all, they must have to load their
phones in order to access internet which results in financial crisis. The
adaptation of flexible learning helps students in adjusting from the
transition of online classes to face to face classes.

Figure 1 below shows the map of the Benguet State University, where
the College of Public Administration and Governance is located. As of
May 2018, Benguet State University is recognized by the
Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as a Center of Excellence

Agriculture education, and Nutrition and Dietetics. Our past Dean Dr.
Felipe S. Comila who is now the President of BSU. We choose CPAG,
BSU, La Trinidad as our place of study because the location is more
accessible and easier to accommodate and also this pandemic affects
the travelling to any places. In addition, we as a CPAG student
concerned about the coping mechanisms of the student as well our
respected faculty members amidst Covid-19.
