Six friends namely Anu, Beenu, Chetna, Dinky, Esha & Fatima boarded a 20 seater
bus from Delhi to Gurgaon. Since they reached just in time before the bus was
about to leave, they sat on whichever seats they could find vacant at that time.
The seat numbers in the bus are assigned as follows:

Following facts were observed:

1) Exactly three of them were sitting on an even numbered seat.


2) The number of friends sitting in no two out of four columns were equal.
3) There were exactly two such rows in which two friends were sitting.
4) Anu and one other friend (say ‘x’) were sitting in the same row. The difference
between seat numbers of the remaining two friends (apart from Anu, x, Chetna &
Dinky) was 8.
5) The maximum absolute difference between seat numbers of any two friends
was 18 for Anu & Dinky in no particular order.
6) The minimum absolute difference between the seat numbers of any two
friends was 1 for Chetna & Dinky in no particular order. For no other pair it was

Total 150 bright students of C2C appeared for NAT-2020, the entrance test for
admission to the prestigious two years MBA program offered by National Institutes
of Management (NIMs) at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow, Indore and
Kozhikode. Depending on the performance of the students, each of these NIMs
gave calls for WAT-PI for the next round of admissions.

The following information is known about these students:

1. The sum of the number of calls received by all the students was 460.
2. The numbers of students who received calls from NIMs at Ahmedabad,
Bangalore and Calcutta were 77, 82 and 80 respectively.
3. The number of students who received calls from two NIMs was six times the
number of students who did not receive a call from any of the NIMs.
4. The number of students who received calls from both NIM Ahmedabad and NIM
Bangalore was 47.
5. The number of students who received calls from all the three NIMs at
Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Calcutta was 29.
6. The number of students who received a call from at least one NIM out of NIM
Ahmedabad, Bangalore and
Calcutta was 130.
