This document outlines a lesson plan on identifying subjects and predicates in sentences. The objectives are to identify, recognize, and determine the subject and predicate. The lesson proper involves students constructing sentences based on pictures and identifying the subject and predicate. It defines the subject as what the sentence is about and the predicate as the verb and other elements that complete the meaning of the verb. Students will then practice identifying subjects and predicates by underlining them in sample sentences.
