Name of project/Activity : BASIC ORIENTATION OF LEADERSHIP TRAINING

Rationale:
One of the issues faced by the young men and women is the involvement in petty crime,
used of prohibited substances, and early pregnancy. These situation needs an out most attention
and care by the barangay council and the sangguniang kabataan council. There is a need to
conduct more activities that will influence the youth to become a productive citizen and a good
leader.

The PYAP in this barangay was reorganized last year and new set of officers were elected. For
them to become a good leader they must be equip with the basic knowledge, skills and attitude of
becoming a steward leader. It is in this light that the conduct of this activity is deemed necessary.

OBJECTIVES:
Generally, this activity hopes to provide opportunity for socialization, sharing best
practices/experience as leader and strengthen harmonious relationship among them. Specifically,
it aims to empower the youth to take a lead in implementing activities in the barangay level.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

This is a 3- day leadership training to be facilitated by PYAP Neighborhood Chapter in


partnership with Sangguniang Kabataan of this barangay. Resource Speaker from the Municipal
Social Welfare and Development Office and Sangguniang Kabataan will be invited to discuss
particular topic.

Team buildings games, lectures , small group sharing and discussions are the
methodology used in conducting this activity.
The induction of PYAP Officers and members will be conducted at the end of the
training to boast morale of all the members.
