Site Operating Procedure - COVID-19


The purpose this Site Operating Procedure (SOP) is to ensure to protect the workforce and minimizing
the risk of spread of infection.

1.0 Site Requirement:

1.1 Stop all non-essential visitors-The Security Guard is strictly reminded not to allow any non-
essential visitors to enter the site. All permitted staff, clients are required to register with security and
their body temperature to be checked by designated person before entering the site.

1.2 Anyone who meets one of the following criteria should not come to site:
(i) Has a high temperature (more than 37.5 degree Celsius)
(ii) Persistent cough
(iii) Health High risk group (age, underlying health condition, clinical condition or are pregnant)
(iv) Is living with someone in self-isolation
1.3 Everyone at site is required to wear face mask.
1.4 Display signage on physical distance & hand wash culture around the site.

2.0 Roles & Responsibility – Employer

2.1 Ensure compliance with legal requirements and safe work procedure related to COVID – 19.
2.2 Ensure as far as is practicable the workplace is safe and without risk of COVID – 19 infections
to employees and public.
2.3 Ensure as far as is practicable the entry and exit arrangement to the workplace is safe and
without risk to COVID – 19 infections.
2.4 Ensure the facilities and welfare and welfare of employees related to COVID – 19 risk control
and resources area adequately provided.
2.5 Ensure information, training and supervision related to COVID – 19 is provided and
disseminated.
2.6 Provide suitable PPE to employees according to their work needs and complied with latest SOP
related to COVID – 19 issued by MKN.
2.7 Develop a COVID – 19 risk control programs through risk assessment and implementation
2.8 Conduct daily body temperature measurement and symptom screening to employee, visitor,
and client before allowed to enter the workplace.
2.9 Workplace is register with My Sejahtera application.
2.10 Appoint trained personnel to conduct employee’s temperature measurement and health
screening.
2.11 Appoint (SHO/ SSS/ OSH-C/ SHC secretary) as coordinator to report the compliance status of
the COVID – 19 Risk Control Program.
2.12 Ensure physical distancing (minimum distance of 1 meter).

3.0 Roles and Responsibilities - Coordinator

3.1 Assist employer in implementing and monitoring the implementation of the COVID – 19 Risk
Control Program.
3.2 Advise employers on action to take to prevent COVID – 19 infections.
3.3 Implement control measures to prevent COVID – 19 infections recommended by MOH, WHO
and ILO.
3.4 Investigate and notify employer and the Emergency Response Team (ERT) if there is person
with COVID – 19 symptoms at the work.
3.5 Ensure the temperature measurement device is calibrated and functioning well and ensure
adequate supply of hand sanitizers is available at the workplace.
3.6 Record and analyze the data of COVID – 19 Risk Control Program and report to relevant
authorities.

5.0 Roles and Responsibilities - Supervisor

5.1 Monitor and ensure instruction and rules in COVID – 19 Risk Control Program is complying
with by all the subordinate e.g., physical distancing and PPE usage
5.2 Monitor and subordinates continuously for any COVID – 19 infection symptoms
5.3 Inform the employer and Coordinators immediately if any of the employees suddenly develop
of COVID – 19 infection symptoms
5.4 Monitor control and prevention measures, including isolation of employees with COVID – 19
symptom
5.5 Assist Coordinator in preparing documents and maintaining records related to employees
attendance and their health status

8.0 Workers Health Check, Quarters (CLQ) & Welfare Facilities:

8.1 Remind workers to report if they observe another work colleagues are displaying any
unhealthy/potential symptoms relating to COVID 19.
8.2 Prohibit any workers who have showed symptoms or contracted with COVID-19 to return to
workplace until they have medical evidence, they are clear from the virus.
8.3 Workers staying in CLQ only allowed to work for Liendak Jabil project only.
8.4 A complete checklist to monitor the condition of quarters and workers’ health conditions will be
carried out each day.
8.5 The completed checklist will be signed by PIC and acknowledge by head of security / Designated
Person.
8.6 The similar checklist shall be applicable even after MCO for duration deem practical.

9.0 Self Covid 19 test and RTK Covid 19 test


9.1 All staff and workers involve in Liendak Jabil project need to carry out self-Covid 19 test every on-
2nd week and RTK on 4th week.
9.2 Safety personal will record all the data and keep for reference.
9.3 Only staff and workers who complete the test are allowed to enter the site and office.

10.0 Hand Washing

10.1 Suitable and sufficient rubbish bins for regular removal and disposal.
10.2 Sites will need extra suppliers of soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels and these should be
securely stored.

11.0 Toilet Facilities

11.1 Only 1 person allowed to use toilet at any one time.


11.2 Wash hand before and after using the facilities.
11.3 To enhance the cleaning regimes for toilet facilities particularly door handles, locks and the toilet
flush.

12.0 Canteens and Eating Arrangement

12.1 Break times should be staggered to reduce congestion and always contact.
12.2 Hand cleaning facilities or hand sanitizer should be available at the entrance where people eat
and should be used by workers when entering and leaving the canteens/areas.
12.3 Workers should sit 1.0 meter apart from each other whilst eating and avoid all contact.
12.4 Canteen should provide pre-packed or wrapped food only. Eating utensils, cups etc. should not be
used.
12.5 The workers are encouraged to bring pre-prepared meals and refillable drinking bottles from
home.
12.6 Drinking water station provided with enhanced cleaning measures of the tap mechanism
introduced.
12.7 Tables should be cleaned after each use by the canteen operator.
12.8 All rubbish should be put straight in the bin and not left for someone else to clear up.
12.9 All areas used for eating must be thoroughly cleaned at the end of each break and shift.
