    At the end of the module, you should be able to:
    1) Identify the different dotting tools used in nail design
    2) Follow the procedures in dotting nails and disposal of used supplies according to OHS
    standard; and
    3) Perform the dot nail design on toenails

    MODULE 6
    CREATE FANCY NAIL DESIGNS – DOT NAIL DESIGN

    I. Checking your Understanding


    Home-Based Activity in Dot Nail Design
    1. Prepare the necessary tools and materials to be used for Dot Nail Design.
    2. Follow the procedure in performing the dot nail designs shown below and consider
    the client's choice of color.
    2. Choose 3 among your family members or nearby friends who will serve as your
    client.
    3. Do not forget the PPE and clean and sanitize your work station.
    4. Prepare a documentation (video and picture) showing the conduct of performance.
    Submit your video and PICTURE on the google classroom/ drive link provided by the
    teacher.
    5. Fill out the accomplishment chart and let your client evaluate your performance
    according to the criteria below.

    Materials:
    clear base coat, clear top coat, 2 nail polish colors of your choice, nail palette dish, dotting
    tool , clean paper
    Procedure:
    1. Prepare all the materials needed.
    2. Start by applying a base coat followed by one colored nail polish of your choice as your
    base color and let it dry.
    3. From the second colored nail polish of your choice, use a nail polish brush to place a small
    amount of nail polish in your nail palette dish or a tin foil or any waterproof surface.
    4. Using your dotting tool, dip its tip onto the nail polish on the nail palette dish. Gently press
    the dotting tool onto a clean paper to remove the excess nail polish or wipe it with a tissue.
    5. Dab it on your nail to create a dot. Repeat this step following the design given above and
    allow to dry.
    6. Seal the nail art by applying topcoat.
