NOTIFICATION
Admission to Post Graduate Programmes: 2022
Online Applications are invited from interested eligible studentss for admission to Postgraduate
Programmes in the Departments of Cotton University. Candidates having requisite qualification for
admission should fill in and submit the online application form through the University website
www.cottonuniversity.ac.in. There shall be no provision of offline submission of applications for
admission.

The fees payable for all programmes at the time of admission and other relevant details are available in

Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with Honours/ Major from a recognised university (refer to the notification
CU/Acad/PG_Admissions/2022/208/731
731 dated 08/07/2022 on the General Information and Instructions for PG
Admission 2022-23 for details). Candidates who have appeared/ appearing in UG Final Semester
Examination 2022 are also eligible to apply.
Reservation: The rules of the Government of Assam shall be applicable.
Mode of Application: ONLINE ONLY through the website https://admissions.cottonuniversity.ac.in
Application & Entrance Examination (CPGEE 2022) Fee: Rs. 800.00, payable only through the web portal
for online application
Gap in study: Maximum study gap allowed is 3 (three) years except for LLM.

Candidates should carefully follow the onscreen instructions while filling up the online form.
Except for the self-financing
financing programmes of MLISc, LLM and MSc in Artificial Intelligence & Machine
Learning, Cotton University reserves 50% of the seats for Cotton graduates passed in 2022 20 or 2021 only.
An applicant who graduated from Cotton University in 202 2022 or 2021 with the Honours/Major subject as
her his subject of choice for the PG programme, shall be considered for admission in tthe 50% seats
reserved forr Cotton Graduates on the basis of the CGPA (Core/Honours) obtained in the UG examination.
Admission in Open Category (Graduates from any recognised institution including Cotton University)

ased on marks obtained in the Cotton Post-Graduate Entrance Examination (CPGEE 2022). The 50%
seats reserved for Cotton Graduates mentioned vide the section CPGEE 2022 2 BASED ADMISSION IN
CERTAIN SUBJECTS UNDER COTTON GRADUATE CATEGORY on page 2 of the notification CU/Acad/
PG_Admissions/2022/208/731 shall also be filled on the basis of CPGEE 2022 scores.

The CPGEE 2022 is tentatively schedule
scheduled on the first week of August.. The final dates of CPGEE 2022 shall
be notified a week in advance.
If the eligibility criteria are fulfilled a candidate may have an option to apply for admission to more than
one PG programme by completing the online application procedure separately. However, there shall be
no changee of schedule of CPGEE 20 2022 if there happens to be a clash of date and time of the entrance
examinations for any candidate applying for multiple PG programmes
programmes.
The entrance examination fee of Rs 800.00 (Rupees eight hundred) will be paid by all candidates, including
Cotton Graduates, at the time of registration for online application. However, there will be a provision to
refund part of the fees to those Cotton Graduates who opt for CGPA based selection only and do not
appear in the CPGEE 2022.
