THEME: “K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering
Resilience in the Face of Adversity”
DepEd endeavored to address each challenge by instituting programs and reforms in the
Department. We have fully implemented the K to 12 curriculum and the aggressive reforms of Sulong
EduKalidad to produce globally competitive learners and teachers. We also expanded our mission for
accessible education by strengthening the Alternative Learning System (ALS) and the Last Mile Schools
programs to reach more Filipinos. Likewise, we also established the National Academy of Sports (NAS)
and Education Futures Unit to create more opportunities for our learners and anticipate the future of
the education system in the country.
Committed to sustaining this momentum, the Department developed and implemented the Basic
Education-Learning Continuity Program (BE-LCP), where we offered various learning modalities and
produced award-winning initiatives such as the DepEd TV and DepEd Commons at the height of the
pandemic. Eventually, the Department held its ground against an unprecedented challenge in basic
education as we progressively expand the reintroduction of face-to-face classes in the country.
Indeed, education is truly a shared responsibility. This is why we express our utmost appreciation to
our dear parents and teachers for being our partners in nurturing the youth throughout the years.
To the Class of 2022, resilience is in your blood. You have survived one of the toughest times in
human history, yet still embraced education as your primary tool to success. I believe that with your
passion and purpose, you can reach your dreams and change the world.
May you keep on harnessing and imparting wisdom as together, we will build a nation of
competent global citizens and future leaders.
This year's theme Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok (K to
12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity) emphasizes that there is
no greater joy in surpassing a year of challenged learning experiences. The knowledge you have
acquired through unconventional modes is proof that success defeats glitches.
We thank the teachers, parents and all members of the family, friends, education leaders, local
executives, and the whole community for the relentless effort and persistence in molding the bright
future of these learners.
To our students, there is a wide horizon of opportunities waiting for you. The world is a vast place
for you to develop your skills and excel in your chosen field. Be wise and strategic in choosing your
career path. Never stop learning, exploring, persevering, and challenging yourself. Follow that path that
leads you to your dreams. Become storytellers of your success but remain humble and grateful. Aim high
and hit the mark!
To our dear teachers, never cease inspiring and shaping learners to become champions. Continue
to manifest patience and grit to surmount challenges. Your bravery and passion are inspiration to many.
You have shown indomitable strength of character, especially during this pandemic. You are indeed the
new heroes of this generation!
I commend the efforts of our school leaders, parents, and community partners. You play a big role
in helping our department to implement a relevant, flexible, and transformative form of education.
Let us commit to the mandate of our department which is to promote inclusive and quality education
with the hope to produce Filipino learners who will become future leaders and influencers of this nation.
The hurdle to pass the academic year is tough but to surpass it all
brought you closer to your dreams. Finishing with flying colors without
quitting and stammering shows the spirit of a true warrior within you. Today
you withstand all the challenges and trials amidst pandemic and ended up
victorious.
Dear completers and learners, always bear in mind that you are the ones shaping your own future.
Allow your selves to be guided and nurtured most of the time. Don't let your guards down especially on
matter of self-love. Take failures as your stepping stone to greatness as you gracefully lead the future
with courage, kindness, humility and keep on believing that every cloud has a silver lining. Bring with you
the essence and pride of being an Ogtonganon.
This year's theme, Gradweyt ng K-12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok (K-12
Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity) emphasizes that there is
no greater success and happiness than surpassing all the challenges brought about by the pandemic.
Your experiences that gave you best lessons in life and achieving the competences required for basic
education through different modalities are proofs that today you overcome obstacles.
Our gratitude to the teachers, parents and everyone in the family, education leaders, local
government officials, friends and the entire community for all the efforts, dedication, support and love
in making ways to provide our learners a brighter tomorrow.
To our beloved parents, please accept our sincerest gratitude and warmest congratulations for
accomplishing this year's battle. Your guidance and support are very evident. With that, we are grateful.
You have simply shown your love and support for learning.
As you stay home in solidarity with our countrymen in order to stop the spread of the virus, it is our
hope that you will use this unexpected gift of solitude to develop character, to grow in passion for
education, and to discover how to use all the learnings you have accumulated over the years. You will
begin to genuinely live as an empowered youth ready to conquer the world. During your years of stay
with us, your BOTONG-CABANBANAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL family genuinely cared for you. We will
surely miss you. God bless!
