A CHARGES FIXED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF HARARE IN TERMS OF SECTION 172 OF THE URBAN
COUNCILS ACT FOR SERVICES OR MATTERS SPECIFIED IN THE MODEL BUILDING BY LAWS
1977 AREA AS FOLLOWS:-
1. For all building plans submitted in terms of section 5(1) of chapter 2 of the Model Building By-Laws,
1977: a fee of $1.75c for every one hundred dollars or part thereof of the estimated cost of such building,
provided that the minimum fee shall be $16,15c.
2. For every drawing certified by the City Architect as being a true copy of an approved drawing of a building
or structure or structure or alteration or addition to a building:
(a) If such building or structure or alteration or addition has not been completed, a fee of $1,75c for every
one hundred dollars or part thereof of the estimated cost of such building, but not exceeding $200.00
in any case:

(b) If such building or structure or alteration or addition has been completed, a fee of $1,75c for every
one hundred dollars or part thereof of the estimated cost of such building, but not exceeding $200,00
in any case.
3. For all plans of sewerage work submitted in terms of section 5 (1) of Chapter 2 of the Model Building By-
Laws, 1977 a fee of:
(a) $1,00 for every $100.00 or part thereof of estimated cost in dwelling house or double dwelling
house:
(b) $1,75c for every $100.00 or part thereof of estimated cost in any other building.
N.B “dwelling house” means a house designed for use as a dwelling for a single family”
“double dwelling house” means a house designed for use as dwellings for two single families;
Together with such outbuildings as are ordinarily used in connection with such dwelling house or
double dwelling house.
