Prepare Phase

1. Describe the leadership challenges you are considering and ask for input on which one would be most important
to pursue.

am doing well?

3. Ask: Given this challenge, what do you think are two or three leadership skills required to resolve this issue that I
need to improve in the future?

4. Ask: What do you see as my most critical role as a leader facing this challenge?

5. Discuss your own and the organization’s goals for this development initiative. What would your boss recommend
you work on?

6. Share expectations with how you will be supported during and after the classroom experience. Decide how often
and how you will meet after the program.
