The phrasing is not in standard English, and it doesn’t sound right in the ears. Also, check to see if you are mixing metaphors (you meant to write a particular saying, but you got some of the words wrong). BP: Body paragraph cp: Capitalization error Check to see if the word begins a sentence, or if the word is a proper noun. ds: disorganized sentence The sentence is grammatically incorrect. The sentence doesn’t make sense. It is best to rewrite the sentence frg: fragment The sentence is missing a verb, or subject, or sense. grm: grammatical error There is a minor grammatical error, so reread the sentence and fix it. infl: informal word The word may be colloquial (spoken words, or slang). The essay requires formal words. mdf: misplaced/ dangling modifier It is unclear which word the modifier is modifying ms: missing word There is an article, preposition, or another word missing. nn: not needed The word, or phrase may be repetitive, or it may make the sentence too wordy, etc. pnc: punctuation error There is a punctuation missing. Check to see if the sentence needs a comma, full stop (check for run on sentences), apostrophe, or any other kind of punctuation. prll: parallelism error sn/pl: singular/ plural Check to see if a word needs to be singular or plural sp: spelling mistake tn: tense Check to see if you are consistent in the tense you are using TPS: Topic sentence wo: word order Rearrange the words in the sentence, add or subtract words as necessary ww: wrong word The word means something different from the intended meaning.
