Signature & Stamp of Architect

“Mohite Architects” is one of the top Architectural firms in Alibag. Which came to existence in year
1985 through Ar. Shri Shashikant B. Mohite.

Mohite Architects is one of the leading Architectural design firms having presence in Konkan region
of Maharashtra, India. Mohite Architects is expert in designing Residential, Office, Commercial, Industrial
structures in most economical way keeping in mind the human being and his needs with the touch of
humanity.

Working in this firm which has numerous varying ongoing projects gave me a scope to work on a
different project at a time with the guidance of very helpful and interactive seniors. Firm has a good working
environment.

I have got major part of drafting to do right from presentation drawings, working drawings, municipal
drawings to the elevations, sections, details, etc. also It helped me to improve speed of Photoshop and
Sketchup skills. The firm gave me a chance to examine the on-site work of one of their ongoing projects. It
helped me to learn about some part of the execution of materials, also how to interact with the labours. I
also got to know about how to present the work and communicate with the clients. Also, I learnt about the
procedure from the beginning of the project i.e., from the proposal stage to the final execution on site.

I am really proud that I got the opportunity to work with this highly reputed firm. I am glad being the
part of this team.
How practice relates to an architectural built environment:

From designing in college to designing for an actual Client gave a clear exposure about differences in actual
scenario. Working in office for a particular project gives a basic understanding and boosts up knowledge in
Architecture.

It helps in understanding and applying UDCPR for projects as per requirement. Also, we understand the chain
of permissions needed for a structure before approval. Which were some concepts we were not completely
aware of in college, also it helps us to create a very indulging approach towards built Environment. As our
Firm majorly focused on Residential Buildings so we got Knowledge regarding to it from Our sir Ar. Manajit
Mohite. I have also got a good understanding of the concept of Vaastu Shashtra. Overall, I have got a new
vision to look after the environmental issues and a creative yet functional mindset to give solutions.

Your contribution in the office:

It was really a great opportunity to work in Mohite Architects. I got to design an entire bungalow project also,
I got to do plotting of sites, which includes Approval drawings. I also attended discussions with client and Site
visits. I worked on multiple presentation drawings Presentation drawings I have worked on Elevation
treatments of buildings and Entrance Archway of Somjai Temple

How did your experience help you in selection of your Design Dissertation topic and further in its
progress.

As I’ve got a lot information about Residential projects. The topic I will choose will be based on Residential
project type. So, it was really helpful for me to gain the design related concept and ideology. Working within
the rules of DCR has played the key role and site I’m planning to choose comes under the same in Further
Development Plan. As I was working on Small Scale Project as well as a big Project, I swing my interest in both
way but as I was working more on Bungalow Project, I have been choosing the Mass Housing as the Site I
have chosen has more potential for a housing project as well as the Town has people migrating rapidly due
to High Job Opportunities and Good as well as Calm lifestyle.

Working atmosphere in the office, you’re learning besides the work assigned to you:

Working in office was so peaceful and was very Inspiring, Mohite sir inspired us by showing Devotion as a
Core value. He indirectly taught us importance of time management.

What is the final take home for you after the training:

I have received a lot of Knowledge from working with Mohite architects, which has helped me to gain a
proper understanding towards Architecture as a Passion. I have got to learn Multiple Skill set towards
