3.2 RTU and Marshalling Cabinets
RTU Cabinet, marshalling Cabinets and local enclosures, are to be supplied and installed by the Contractor. They shall be of reputed ma

3.4 Labels and Identification
3.4.1 Nameplates
Front of panel nameplates shall be provided by the Contractor. The Contractor shall provide a schedule of nameplates for approval by K

3.7 Power Supply
Contractor shall survey the sites under project and design, supply, install, and commission the power supply (if required) an
project site with appropriate sized capacity enough to cover the complete power requirements for the Scada/ Telecom /Instr
project sites.
3.7.1 240 AC Power Supplies
If AC is available, 240V single phase 50Hz supplies shall be provided for all Telemetry supply requirements. The Contractor shall desig

a) On sites where the supply is from an existing 240V single phase, 50Hz supply via spare ways or channels of an existing distribution s

4.9 RTU Communications Requirements
4.9.1 Remote Terminal Unit Communications
RTU Protocol
The RTU communications protocol shall be compliant with one or more of the following internationally- recognised standards:
Modbus RTU/ASCII/TCP o DNP3

Programming Languages: Supports all IEC 61131-3 standard programming languages (SFC, IL, FBD,
LD and ST).
The protocol implementation shall be non-proprietary, and shall enable the subsequent connection and use of
RTUs from third-party suppliers. All protocol extensions provided to implement the specified functionality shall conform with the Gene
Section 10 and shall be supplied with the system for the use of the client.
Where a report by exception technique is used (for primary RTUs), the data acquisition software shall initiate a full scan of an RTU to re

4.9.2 Communications Management
The baud rate of each RTU communications channel shall be configurable between 200b/s and 64kb/s as a minimum.
The SCADA system shall continuously monitor the availability and performance of every communications channel. Statistics on the pe
channel shall be available to users by means of specific communications status displays.
For each communications channel, the data acquisition software shall detect loss of communications with an
RTU and raise an alarm. The detection of the loss of a communication channel shall include the following conditions:
(a) No carrier from the RTU over a user configurable time period
(b) No reply from the RTU for a user configurable time period
(c) A user configurable number of bad responses in a user configurable period of time, including CRC errors, length errors in data, etc.
Where two communications channels are available for an RTU, the SCADA system shall continuously monitor both channels for availab

6.1.3 RTUs

7.2.2 Primary Device (Sensor)

accuracy when totally submerged to a depth of 3 meters. The flow sensor shall be rated to IP68 (NEMA 6) according to IEC
indefinite submergence of above depth.

9 COMMUNICATION REQUIREMENTS
8.1 Responsibility for Telecommunications Provision
The contractor shall carry out a communications assessment for each site to establish the most efficient means of connecting the primary

9 Equipment Construction
9.1 Enclosures
Equipment cabinets shall be of sound construction and uniform appearance throughout the works and shall be manufactured from corros

Documentation for each phase shall be produced, reviewed and approved. Documentation shall be an integral part of each phase and no

System documentation shall comply with the relevant sections of ISO 6592 (or an equivalent national or international standard).
10.2 Functional Design Specification

The Functional Design Specification (FDS) shall detail the design for the full scope of Work being performed under this Contract The F

10.6.4 Drawing Format

11 Acceptance Tests
11.1 Test Principles
The principle of testing shall be that, at stages throughout the work, formal tests shall be performed and recorded against written test spe
confidence to both the Contractor and KAHRAMAA that the Works meet the specified requirements such that subsequent stages of the W
philosophy for the system shall ensure that the system hardware and software equipment functionality is thoroughly exercised and valida

11.6.2.4 Remote Terminal Units
For this Factory Acceptance Test, each type of RTU to be supplied as part of this Contract shall communicate with a Master S

11.6.2.5 Telecommunications
The Contractor shall demonstrate during FAT the correct functionality and performance of the system using each of the communications

b) RTUs RTUs / PLC installation, commissioning, maintenance and programming Plant Modifications and Interfaces Communication
c) Power System and Battery Charger Systems
d) Flow meter and other Field Instruments
The Contractor shall submit for the approval of KAHRAMAA, a synopsis of all training courses offered.
All these courses should be scheduled to take place on Site in Doha, Qatar.
The Contractor should provide a mixture of formal training and ‘hands on’ experience directed towards integrating, configuring, the syst

13 Warranty, Defects Liability and Maintenance Period
There shall be a Warranty or Defects Liability Period associated with the Taking Over Certificate, The Defects Liability Period associate
commence from the date of issue of the Taking Over Certificate and will cover the Works or portion thereof covered by the Taking Over
include Maintenance support for the equipments supplied under the contract.
13.1 Duration
All equipments supplied under the contract shall have 2 (two) years of Defect Liability or Warranty period, this shall also including Mai
equipments from the date of issue of Taking Over Certificate.
13.2 Attendance
During the Defects Liability Period, the Contractor shall attend to and clear all defects within a reasonable time of being notified of the d

13.2.1 Telephone Support
The Contractor shall provide verbal telephone support to KAHRAMAA personnel during normal KAHRAMAA office hours to provide

Two years spare parts shall be provided for the total installed capacity of each type of equipments such as, but not limited to, I/O cards, b
cards. The contractor should propose the list of spares for approval of KAHRAMAA.
The supplier shall include all necessary requirements, tools, calibration tools, software's and portable handheld devices and Laptops for t
downloading.
15 Software
Latest version of the software shall be supplied for all the equipments under the contract with the required laptops/workstations and any
the stationary/consoles if required.
