Designation Type GIN GIN

Identif. MSB LSB

Set values
As the set values are transmitted as ‘short real’, deviations between the
set value and the value transmitted via the interface can occur if the set
value cannot be represented exactly as a ‘short real’.

before the message is sent and not when the value has changed!

4.2.2 General Commands

Designation Type Func. Info

Identif. Type Number

Auto/Manual 20 110 16
On -> Automatic mode
Off -> Manual mode

Tap Raise / Lower 20 110 17

Only in manual mode, ON is raise, OFF is lower

Tap Lower 20 110 18

Only in manual mode, ON is lower, OFF does nothing

SI command 1 20 110 27
SI command 2 28
SI command 3 20
Each of these commands sets a corresponding flag in the TAPCON.
The status of the flags can be used like an input of the IO or UC module to
activate or deactivate a function of the TAPCON .
Example: If parameter ‘Input parallel group 1’ is set to ‘SI:cmd1’ for two
TAPCONs then parallel control of these TAPCONS can be switched on/off by
setting ‘SI command 1’ on/off for both TAPCONs.
In the standard parameterisation of TC240_06 these commands are used to
set parallel control mode. SI command3 sets parallel control to OFF,
SI command1 sets master mode and SI command2 sets follower mode.
Parallel control mode Auto 30
Sets the parallel control mode to Auto.
Note: These commands internally work like an signal input. The ON sets the
input. The OFF resets the input signal. This is different compared to the
other commands. The other commands work like an input pulse.
The ON only generates a pulse and not a static signal.
Therefore it is possible to have more than one command signal active
at the same time. This does no harm but mostly does not give the
expected behavior.

Voltage level raise/lower 20 110 19

The voltage level is changed in parametrised steps. Only available if the
parameter ‘voltage level delta’in the TAPCON is not zero.

Voltage level 1 20 110 19

Voltage level 2 20
Voltage level 3 21
Only available if:
- parameter ‘voltage level delta’in the TAPCON is zero and
- the position of the inputs for remote control of voltage level2/3 is off.

The voltage regulator will send the received order with ‘Cause of transmission’ set to 20 if the order message has been accepted.

4.3 Sequences

4.3.1 Time Synchronisation

After a time synchronisation the voltage regulator will send the timesync message back with ‘cause of transmission’ set to 8
as a positive acknowledge.

4.3.2 General Interrogation

After the last data message of the ‘general interrogation’ the ‘GA finished’ message with type identifier 8 and
cause of transmission 10 will be sent.
4.3.3 Commands (Type Id: 20)
After having received a valid command the voltage regulator will send the command message back with ‘cause of trans-
mission’ set to 20 as a positive acknowledge. If the command cannot be executed the ‘cause of transmission’ will be 21.

4.3.4 General Interrogation for Generic Data

Type Id 21, Info Number 245.
After the last data message of the ‘general interrogation’ the ‘GA finished’ message with type identifier 10, Information
number 245 and cause of transmission 10 will be sent.

4.3.5 Generic Command ‘Write entry with execution’

Type Id: 10, Information number 250.
After having received a valid command the voltage regulator will send the command message back with
‘cause of transmission’ set to 40 as a positive acknowledge. If the command cannot be executed the ‘cause of transmission’
will be 41.
The generic command ‘Write entry with confirmation’ (Information number 249) is not implemented.
