HOW: Unanimous decision


Match Highlights:
- The Filipina boxer orchestrated a drubbing of her Kenyan
foe on all three rounds, as four judges Sidali Mokretari,
Mansur Muhiddinov, Miguel Anco, Beau Campbell, and Carl
Ruhen scored the bout 30-27 in her favor while the other
one had it 30-26.  
- Magno, a 29-year-old Janiuay, Iloilo native, will move on to
the Round of 16 on Thursday. 
- She is the second Philippine-bred boxer to move on to the
next round of competition following Nesthy Petecio's
unanimous decision win over Congo's Sakobi Matshu
Marcelat a day before.
- In their women's flyweight contest, Magno, ranked 25th in the
world, engaged the 17th seeded Ongare in the first round and
landed the more accurate shots to get the round.
- Magno's dominance continued in Round 2 even as she remained
the better boxer in the final three minutes despite Ongare's
attempt to rally by being more aggressive.
