Inviting applications from interested and eligible / experienced candidates on Short
Term Contract Basis for the post of 4 No of Site Engineers to be posted at PIU,
Kancheepuram. The detailed information regarding qualification, Scope of work,

IIINSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANTS
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) invites application from interested and
eligible/ experienced candidates on short term contract for the post of Site Engineer
as detailed below:

year only) experience.
Important Conditions:
1. The applicant should have more than one year experience in road and highway
s e c t o r works and added advantage if worked in NHAI Projects.
2. Additional experience/ qualification/ Computer knowledge shall be given due

preference amongst candidates.
3. Age limit of the applicant shall be b e l o w 40 years as on the last date for receipt
of application.
4. Period of contract shall be for O n e year or till the placement of a

Manager (Tech) at PIU whichever is earlier, without any assurance or right of
absorption / confirmation in NHAI. The contract may be extended subject to
requirement with recommendations of competent authority in NHAI.
5. The advertisement can be withdrawn at any time at the discretion of the

Competent Authority without assigning any reasons therefor. Corrigendum or
Addendum to this advertisement if any shall be published only on the website of
NHAI. Therefore, the candidates are advised to check the website of NHAI
regularly.
6. In case of large number of applications is received, candidates shall be short

listed on the basis of qualification, experience in NHAI Projects, tenure and level
of service in the relevant field and shall accordingly be called for interview I
considered for selection.
7. Applications are to be submitted strictly in the prescribed format along with self-
attested copies of education and experience certificates. Crucial date for
determination of eligibility shall be the last date prescribed for the receipt of
applications. Incomplete applications in any respect shall be liable for
summarily rejection.
8. Duly filled - in applications with supporting documents (each page shall be signed
by applicant) may be sent by registered / Speed post I Hand delivery to the
address given below, so as to reach latest by 17.08.2020 up to 5:00 PM. The
envelope containing the application should be super scribed with "Application for
the post of Site Engineer on Short Term Contract basis". Applications received
through email/ FAXs shall be summarily rejected.
9. The applications received after 17.08.2020 at 5:00PM shall not be

entertained. The Short listed candidates will be called for an interview by a
committee. Intimation in this regard shall be sent to the short listed
candidates through email I by post subsequently.
10. The Short listed candidates at the time of interview should bring original
certificates for verification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the
interview and candidate shall have to make their own arrangement for
boarding and lodging if any, and no claim will be entertained.
11. Screened candidates will be called for interview and the selected candidates
will have to work under the Project Director PIU-Kancheepuram in the State of
Tamil Nadu.
