3. Dual Energy Registers
Two separate energy registers are provided, one for EB (Electricity Board supply) and another for
G(Generator Supply).Normally meter accumulates energy in EB register. Whenever the DG sensing
signal (10 to 60V dc /20 to 300V ac) is present, meter accumulates energy in G register. Separate
LED indication is provided on the meter front Panel, which glows when DG sensing signal is present.

4. Power On Display
Display check will be the first display when meter is powered ON.

Followed by meter serial number and then firmware version will be displayed.
5. Display Modes
1) Auto Scroll Mode
By default meter will be in auto-scroll mode. All the display
parameters will be scrolling automatically in this mode. Scrolling
period for two energy parameters is 8 sec and 2 sec for all other
parameters.
2) Toggle Mode
Press and hold SELECT Key to move to Energy-toggle mode. The display
will alternately show“Generator energy”(indicated “G” on LCD display)
and “Electricity Board energy” (indicated“Eb” on LCD display. There is
no time out period in this mode. To exit from this mode press up/down
key.
3) Manual Scroll Mode
Press UP/DOWN Key to Scroll Manually. In this mode all the parameters
can be scrolled through manually. If no key is pressed for 1 minute,it
will go back to auto scroll mode.
4) Freeze Mode
To see the selected parameter continuously, press up & down buttons together
for 2 seconds. There is no time out period for freeze mode.Press up or down
button to come out of Freeze mode. The meter will go back to its previous

13. Communication Interface Details

RS485 interface is available to communicate with the meter.
The interface is available at the terminals. Refer “CONNECTION DETAILS” diagram.
The configuration details to communicate with the meter are given below

Standard RS485 (half duplex)

Baud Rate Selectable (19200, 9600,4800, 2400, 1200) Default is 9600.
Parity Selectable (None, Odd, Even) Default is Even.
The RS485 interface uses MODBUS Protocol in RTU mode.Communicating with the
meter involves sending commands to the meter for reading and writing the
Protocol
particular register. The meter can be addressed with specific user defined
meter address (Slave ID) from1 to 247

14. Memory Map

Password:
(Function Code 16)
Note: For changing any parameter, first password has to be entered, and then the parameters will
be enabled for writing. Once password is enabled, idle time is 2 minutes and then comes out of
programming mode.
