A) How much storage do I have now available with my thapar.edu google account?
Please refer to the following tables for storage limits for Students/Alumni:

B) How to check my Google storage space usage of Thapar.edu account?
1. Open this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/m y-drive
2. Login your Thapar.edu account. If already logged in, choose the Thapar account
from top right side of the web-browser.
3. Go to the setting option from top right side of the web-browser and you will
see the total used storage.
C) How can I take the backups of GMail, Google drive, Google Photos etc.?
1. For backup, click the link: https://takeout.google.com/
2. Login your Thapar.edu account. If already logged in choose the Thapar account
from top right side of the web-browser.
Note: Export a copy of content in your Google Account to back it up or use it with
a service outside of Google.
3. Select/Deselect (with check box) the backup option as per your need and click the
next step mentioned below:
4. Choose file type, frequency & destination:
a. Choose Frequency/Export as per your need.
b. File type & size: ZIP
c. Exports file size as per your backup size.
5. Export progress: Google is creating a copy of files from the selected products. This
process can take a long time (possibly hours or days) to complete. You'll receive
an email when your export is done. The contents of the email are mentioned
below:
6. Click the button “Download Your Files”. It will ask for account username and
password and start downloading.
