Remote

Deposit Capture
Simplify depositing checks with the use of a web-based program to scan and deposit checks multiple times per day from your office
computer. First Niagara offers the convenience of making deposits with Remote Deposit Capture (RDC).

The Process
First, checks are scanned and processed through an approved scanner. Then the customer validates the deposit and submits the
deposit file to First Niagara with either the Remote Deposit Web App or a secure file transmission.

Once First Niagara receives the file, the deposits are confirmed. The file is then uploaded to First Niagara’s system and posted to
the customer’s business account, with accelerated float assigned to the deposit.

Throughout the whole process, the customer retains all original documents for 90 days and remains in charge of their continued
retention and/or destruction.

Take advantage of:

• Accelerated cash flow from converting checks into cash more quickly
• Eliminate geographic boundaries and deposit checks from any location
• Receipt of final deposit file each business day is 8 p.m. ET
• Save valuable time by not making trips to a branch to deposit checks
• Reduce key strokes with use of courtesy and legal amount recognition software
• Establish user access and permission controls
• Access to online check images and deposit history
• Export check data to a company’s internal accounts receivable system
