INTRODUCTION

Online examinations are an important method of evaluating the success potential of students.
This research effort the individuals under consideration were students who would be enrolling
in computer courses or Technologies Registrations. A prototype of a web-based placement
examination system is described from the stand point of the research effort, end user, and
software development.

An on-line educational system including exam processing and electronic journal features. An
instructor builds a course based questions which on-line contain in identification of
assignments. Which are compiled into an on-line exam syllabus.Users enrolled in the platform
may access the electronic details they provided and perform various functions with the on-line
educational system in order to participate in the on-line examinations. Users can receive an
on-line exam, having multimedia content, for the course, and they can electronically provide
answers for the exam. And after Completion of their duration of exam they are provided the
grade or marks secured in their examinations.

are pertinent to the elements of assessment process: answers submission, computerized
grading, and feedback after submission.As the modern organizations are automated and
computers are working as per the instructions, it becomes essential for the coordination of
human beings, commodity and computers in a modern organization.

The administrators ,instructor,Students who are attending for online examination can
communicate with the system through this projects, thus facilitating effective implementation
and monitoring of various activities of Online Examinations like conducting Exams as per
scheduled basis and delivering result to that particular use or student.And the details of
students who attempted Online Examination are maintained at administrator.

1.1 Existing System and Need for System.

We have study existing system and find existing system is human entry and keeping of the
details of the student who are registered already & it is very difficult for each student to come in
the exam center to give there exam. It is very problematic to the students from afar distance to
reach the exam center. This system is required to prepare registration form, application form
and question paper for the students and required to print a lot of number manual calculate how
many students registered and verification of details of the students in a month by hand is very
difficult. This requires quite a lot of time and wastage of money as it requires quite lot of
manpower to do that another factor that takes into accounts that is the possibility of errors. The
existing system is that all cannot be used for personal and quick reference. Even the other
staff teacher can make quick entries than it responsible person is not present.

Need for System

The system that we will designe can handle the details without difficulty & with a little bit of
effort. As the work is one manually before, so it will be very time consuming & required a large
efforts to maintain the files. By computerizing the system these files can be handle with a small
effort & in less time.

The student Report can be generated easily by getting the information without any problem
from all the related files. The package is designed by using GUI concept there for it is very
user friendly & easy to use.

1.2 Proposed System

The modern automated system is developed with the aim to overcome the
drawbacks of existing manual system. We have study manual examination system of XYZ
college and identify possible automation. The proposed system has got many advantages
were People from different parts of the world can register very easily. The new system is more
automated. It is maze in such a manner that the entire new student can understand all the
options in it very easily. It is made in a quick and easy referential manner. Access to all
important matters were not always locked and can be opened easily at the time of urgency.
The advantages of proposed system were that security is maintained in the new system.
Securities for all necessary data are maintained off the record as it is easily understandable
and user friendly, quick entries can be made in this system provides complete online web
based solution, including student registration, tests, storing of results.

1.3. Scope of Work

The objective of the Online Examination Tool is to provide better information for the users of
this system for better results for their maintainence in student examination schedule details and grading
details.
Scope of this project is very broad in terms of other manually taking exams.
Few of them are:-
This project will be very useful for any college or institute where regular evaluation of students' is
required. It can also be very useful for any other who requires quick feedback based on objective
type responses.
This can be used in Educational Institutions like Schools, Colleges,and Private Institutes to conduct
logic tests of their students on a regular basis.
This Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application (user
Location doesn't matter).
No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate
takes the test.
