The SSB/SHS is a traditional style, insulated, single swing cold storage door that allows
quick and easy access between separated, envrionmentally controlled spaces.
The door panel sub-frame consists of a rigid polymer extrusion providing a complete front-to-back
thermal break. Blocking is used at all hinge, handle, and hardware attachment points. The panel is
foamed in place with at least 4” of polyurethane insulation. A panel-mounted gasket with floor sweep
maintains a seal. The casing frame is made of aircraft grade extruded aluminum for durability and low
maintenance. A choice of bullet style, traditional cam lift or strap hinges are standard. A single point,
pad-locakble latch with inside release is standard. Rotary compression latch, windows, spring-assisted
hinges, door closers, kick plates, bump and panic bars can be added to meet your requirements and
building codes. On freezers, the door panel is supplied with threshold heat and the casing frame has
three-sided heat on sweep bottom applications.

The ESS-1 provides a combination of exceptional durability and clean,


contemporary design for all applications regardless of the demands. Applications
range from test chambers to food service.
The FRANK Energy Saver Door is used for personnel and hand truck traffic in buildings where
environmental control is essential. The design incorporates a 2.25” inch thick foamed-in-place exterior
overlap with a 1.75” inch low profile interior. The hardware package includes a rotary compression
latch which further enhances the insulating qualities by mechanically compressing the gasket. The
door panel sub-frame and casing frame are made of aircraft grade extruded aluminum for durability.
On freezers, the door panel is supplied with 4 sided heat and the casing frame has three sided heat on
sweep bottom applications.

The ESS-2 in-fitting personnel door is manufactured for easy installation on an


insulated metal panel. The ESS-2 provides the energy saving attributes of a cold
storage door with the look and feel of a standard office door.
The ESS-2 is available for single or double swing configurations. The panel’s sub-frame and door jamb
are rigid polymer extrusions providing complete front-to-back perimeter thermal breaks. USDA
approved smooth, stucco or stainless steel face sheets will match the look of the cold storage doors in
your facility. Back-up blocking is used at all hinge, handle and lock attachment points. The panel
structure is foamed-in-place with 1.75” of polyurethane insulation. Three stainless steel Hager hinges
and a Hager lever latch are standard. A jamb-mounted gasket with panel-mounted floor sweep seal the
perimeter. Options like closers, locks, windows and kick plates can be added. Please contact the fac-

The Frank Door TS-727 controller and RHD drive offer the possibility to automate extremely large and/or
heavy hinged doors. The position of the door leaf is controlled by an encoder offering precise
positioning. The system’s 0.25 HP motor drives the door using a specially-designed swing arm
integrated with a slide channel mounted to the face of the door. The power operator will be mounted at
the factory, limiting installation time. This system is available for both single and double doors.
