I. OBJECTIVES
A.Content The learners demonstrate understanding of key concepts of axiomatic
Standards structure of geometry and triangle congruence.
The learners should be able to formulate an organized plan to handle a
real-life situation.
B.Performance The learners should be able to communicate mathematical thinking with
Standards coherence and clarity in formulating, investigating, analyzing, and solving
real-life problems involving congruent triangles using appropriate and
accurate representations.
C. Essential
Learning Solves corresponding parts of congruent triangles. M8GE-IIIf-1
Competency
 To solve corresponding parts of congruent triangles.
D.Objectives  To apply corresponding parts of congruent triangles in a real-life
situation
II. CONTENT

A. Topic TRIANGLE CONGRUENCE

CPCT. Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles. Used to denote the

relationship between the sides and the angles of two congruent triangles.

Congruent Triangles. Two triangles are congruent when all six pairs of
corresponding parts of the two triangles must be congruent.

SAS (Side-Angle-Side). If two sides and the included angle of one triangle
are congruent respectively to the two sides and the included angle of
another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.
B. Key Concepts

ASA (Angle-Side-Angle). If two angles and the included side of one

triangle are congruent respectively to two angles and the included side of
another triangle, then the triangles are congruent.

SSS (Side-Side-Side). If the three sides of one triangle are congruent

respectively to the three sides of another triangle, then the triangles are
congruent.
