For the students to play this game, they must listen carefully to the clues given by the teacher
for them to narrow the details down. The teacher will only provide three (3) clues. The first
student to guess the mystery word wins.

1. Just the dictionary facts - Clarity, brevity, and conciseness are better when writing definitions.
Examples:
CORRECT: A directory is a kind of book that gives lists of facts arranged in alphabetical order.
INCORRECT: A directory is a kind of book that gives lists of facts for example people's names,
addresses and telephone numbers or the names and addresses of business companies usually arranged
not in an alphabetical order.
2. Avoid complicated terms - Avoid terms that are more complicated or more technical than the term
being defined.

Every sentence requires a subject and a predicate. In the grammar world, this is called subject-verb
agreement. Subjects and verbs must agree with one another (singular or plural). Thus, if the subject is
singular, its verb must also be singular; if the subject is plural, its verb must also be plural.
So as with writing definitions observing correct grammar–it requires skills and practice.
Simple Subject – It refers to the noun or pronoun as the focus of the sentence.

It is also important to know the definitions of the words to enhance our perspectives in assessing
situations better, have more meaningful conversations, and make better decisions. In contrast,
imprecise definitions make it difficult to even agree on what we're talking about.

The students will be grouped into two (2) groups and still observing social distancing. They will
