Blogging Rubric

The rubric evaluates student blogs on 5 criteria: ideas and content, writing quality, intellectual engagement, personal response, and technology usage. For each criteria, descriptors are provided for performance levels ranging from beginner to expert. At the expert level for ideas and content, the student expresses many original ideas clearly and relates them to the subject matter. For writing quality at the expert level, posts are well written with strong style. For intellectual engagement at the expert level, blog entries show strong awareness of class discussions and include original opinions supported by research.
